the only thing about that is i think he would pick another target other then the mafia replacment godfather ........... would it not be better logic for them to kill some one of lesser value ...............

If and when the cop dies, I become the cop, and get regular cop powers. Until then, I'm basically just a townie.

In the event of a cop dying, the backup cop takes over the cops duties. I'm pretty sure that in most cases they know who the other is.

He acts as a normal townie until the cop dies. He'll then replace the cop.
