rules
it will be a best of 3 - each winner's map and and a random one from the 32 this GF tourney covers. settings will be standard KISS settings.
several people have won multiple tournaments but they won't have to forfeit those additional places as i have 24 different winners. 8 different players is the minimum.
if someone meets themselves they automatically advance to the next round but may choose which of those 2 maps they play with. that decision can be remade each round.
if the winner of a lead-in tournament does not play in round 1 they will be replaced by the runner-up. as per my usual procedure, round 2 onwards is a bye to the opposition

I'm in mate! Also in case you're unaware, *Snowman* is long gone from this site. It always kills me seeing his name next to Brazil because dammit I should have won that one too but he got some amazing dice to steal it away haha.

the rules are
The winner of the Grand Finale will receive a General Achievement Medal if:
The TO of the Grand Finale applied for the medal through the proper channels.
The tournament series leading up to the Grand Finale has to consist of at least 8 tournaments, i.e., there must be a minimum of 8 players/winners participating in the Grand Finale.
i have confirmed with sonicsteve my application for this tournament (and the accompanying GA medal) was through the proper channel. the requirement of 8 participents should also be met as there were 24 different winners.

Sorry if I'm being dense mate, but basically what you're saying is if you win this tourney you win not one medal but two? The regular tourney winner's trophy PLUS a GA medal?

no, this does not count as a regular tourney because it was not open to the public. a tounament trophy won't be awarded. however, it is still an achievement to win this 'tourney' and a GA is awarded for doing so.
as the host i do not get a TO medal for running this as it is not a proper tourney, nor do i get a General Contribution medal. what i get is a lot of people telling me how much they like the series and to keep it coming. and i am. the 2nd one is halfway here. 2nd GF maps and winners
