Map-specifis question

Post by shortstop »

On the map British Isles, can Cheshire attack Powys, or is it blocked off by that wall? I really can't tell.

How are you so sure? Have you obtained this information through past experience?

That, and I just looked at the map. Remember, if it doesn't cover the whole border, you can attack.

An even better way of telling than just looking at the map is to use the Map Analyzer available from the Utilities and Plug-Ins for Conquer Club thread at the top of the forum.

An even better way than that is to use stocksr's Conquer Club - Roberts Mods greasemonkey script available from here:

http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15149

Simply move the cursor over a territory on the map and it will highlight all the territories that are adjacent and legal to attack from it.

Once you use this script you'll wonder how you ever did without it.

Finally, if you don't want to use any of these tools (perhaps because they involve installing software) you can answer any question you have about a map by referencing the maps xml file here:

http://www.conquerclub.com/maps/

Even if you don't understand xml you can search through the xml file looking for the country you have a question about and you will probably be able to answer your question by looking at the surrounding context of where the country appears in the file.
