Joey...this is an age old question and here is the real answer: it is fine to have someone take your turns for you AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOT IN THE SAME SINGLES GAME. It must also be announced in the chat as a courtesy to the other players. That's it..

What authority are you speaking on?

Why would it be okay to have someone else play your turn for you?
Especially since the person in question has an account on here. Whats the difference between this and having multiple accounts? If you sign your brother up, and he says its "okay" for you to use his account.. is there any difference?

I don't think its okay to let other people on your account, ever, for any reason.

Like everyone else that plays this game regularly.. sometimes you miss a turn. Its not the end of the world. If you know you'll not have access to a computer.. wrap up your games and don't start new ones.

(I'll point out this is my opinion.. if the rules are okay with it, whatever, I just think its a slippery slope and you should be the only one that should access your account)

The Great Lack has Spoken... no, don't look behind that curtain!
Lack gave his blessing for others to take your turns while you were out of town or something, as long as you weren't in the same game. We're talking about a temporary thing. I've done it on a number of occassions.

What if it's a realtime doubles game and your partner has to leave for whatever reason. It's a double game so its not like you wouldn't have an input in their attacks anyways?

Fair enough. I disagree with the decision.. but its not my game. I guess I'll have to keep it in mind next time I go out of town..

If you disagree, dont do it. When you go out of town, deadbeat out and lose, ok?

(rolls eyes - sorry dont meant o be toooo snide there buddy.....)

This has gone around and around and caused a lot of hard feelings some time ago JC.....simply giving you, as was wicked, the final decision made by lack, and thats all there is to it. I'm sure you could dig up the thread for some entertaining reading....I was wanting to take turns for my ol dad, npgramps, and started all this......

In doubles games you CAN take the persons turn if you are on the SAME team; if on DIFFERENT teams, you cannot.

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that I couldn't state my opinion anymore. If you are "sorry" about being so snide, you could have deleted your snide comment. Guess your apology was in jest.. huh?

All I did was ask you who you were speaking for. I think its a legit question. You have no authority here, and I don't see it anywhere in the rules. Wicked gives a simple answer, you choose to be an ass about it. Good effort.

And for the record, the 3 times I've missed a turn because of being out of town. I won the game anyway. Hmmm. Who knew.
