Hating Blitz is too mainstream nowBigBallinStalin wrote:If you put some hipster glasses on your avatar, then I'll believe you.Bones2484 wrote:I hated Blitz before hating Blitz was cool.
It says stomp his children not him i could easy kidnap them just like in the good old days when children safety wasnt that big a deal.Crazyirishman wrote:So you'd stomp him from afar? Well... people value things differently, and this is just an exchange of costs incurred by undermining one's morals for some perceived benefit. That's similar to "stealing" (reproducing copies without permission) of movies, music, and films via the Internet.pimpdave wrote:I mean, it's pretty fucking pathetic to cheat at this game. na like ha just said he done the crime then the time. so it is over and done with. you seem to be missing why people were more pissed off with him he stood the moral ground saying players could not be on his lists etc or if they were it had to be highlighted they had cheated. but he refused to highlight himself. as for game play not many can argue he is/was one of the best of all time on the site. anyway i think if cc runs a pole for the highlights of 2011 the blitz case will be in the top 5 along with king a's police commentBigBallinStalin wrote:I'm interested in how much people care about cheaters,
And especially how much someone's judgement of character is distorted when the cheater is some allegedly great person.*
*(who is obviously willing to do more than what he was accused of--seeing how much he values CC points over moral standing.)
jammyjames is a good example of this disillusionment. If it's some unknown cheater, I bet you more people are willing to say, "CRUCIFY HIM." But if it's some seemingly glorious hero, then they become disillusioned. The fanboys put on the blinders. They replace "cheating" with "his antics, lol." "CRUCIFY HIM" becomes "you're being mean to him!!! NOOOOOO!!"
I'm not making any normative judgments here. It's just interesting to observe people doing this to themselves. It's interesting how people unconsciously distort the truth, protect themselves of their perceived infallibility perhaps, or maybe it reflects their own low moral standing as well...

ha! this is funny... what they showed was wanting the rules handed out evenly. Blitz himself called for far worse for people that were busted for far less than him. he even refused to give himself an asterisk for doing exactly what he accused others of doing, DESPITE their being found innocent. funny how he could pass judgement on others and give them asterisks despite their being cleared, but when he was BUSTED he refused to change his name on any board with an asterisk. there was not envy, there was a cry for equal treatment of Blitz, because he himself so often called for the harshest of punishments against others that he FELT had cheated, but had not been proven to do so. this had nothing to do with rank, this had to do with people wanting a cheater to be cheated like a cheater, despite being Conqueror at the time.-el Jesus negrojosko.ri wrote:One of rare players that outplayed me more time than I outplayed him. I assume there are many more players who have similar feeling like me, but instead of giving him honour for that and enjoy playing vs him and getting high class challenge, they showed huge envy towards him asking for ultimate punishment, like usual when someone is inferior in something. Probably they are now happy when top players started to leave the site after they saw how officials care for them, and how officials care for opinions of envy mass.

I wont go into any discussion, what I wanted to say, I already had said in previous post.owenshooter wrote:ha! this is funny... what they showed was wanting the rules handed out evenly. p.s.-forum punishments are still far harsher than game play violation punishments. funny, cheat as conqueror and get 1 month, make a comment about CC being cheap by handing out 1/2 premium for contests and receive 3 months.. which is worse?

I mean, it's pretty fucking pathetic to cheat at this game. That's the other consideration.
How can anyone here trust him to play by the rules again?
Trust? And just to be clear, I was busted for "Sergeiisalsopimp", not "reminisco".

exonerate? or perhaps corroborate is the word you are looking for...Timminz wrote:My perception of him didn't change when he was busted for cheating. It was... ... I don't think "vindicated" is quite the word I'm looking for, but it should get the point across, I guess.

And better at cheating than 99% of the people on this site. But he's pretty terrible at getting away with it: I'd say worse than 99% of people on this site who cheat.Gold Knight wrote:People who come here to browse the forums and play 5 games a month probably will hate him as they dont really care about the game. But for people that has played with Blitz, it doesnt matter whether or not you like him, but you respect his ability to play. "Cheater" or not, he's still better than 99% of the people on this site on any game type.
Really? I must have missed all the blitzaholic threads during the last 6 months or so...josko.ri wrote:and you see, even after several months of not being forum active, Blitaholic is still one of top themes on CC.

Blitzaholic, do your thing; have fun.
