It would hold more worth (not to take anything away from what you said there Voice), but if a mod from the C&A or Clan dept. would say the same thing, that would be monumental.owenshooter wrote:about time someone from team CC steps up and speaks their mind... i'm sure it isn't a popular move, but you just gained mega street cred in the forums...-el Jesus negroThe Voice wrote:I'm ashamed to call myself a mod because of you.

It would be grossly inappropriate.QoH wrote:It would hold more worth (not to take anything away from what you said there Voice), but if a mod from the C&A or Clan dept. would say the same thing, that would be monumental.owenshooter wrote:about time someone from team CC steps up and speaks their mind... i'm sure it isn't a popular move, but you just gained mega street cred in the forums...-el Jesus negroThe Voice wrote:I'm ashamed to call myself a mod because of you.
Any mod who puts his/her head above the parapet and says what they really think rather than trotting out the corporate line, dserves a lot of respect in my opinion.owenshooter wrote:about time someone from team CC steps up and speaks their mind... i'm sure it isn't a popular move, but you just gained mega street cred in the forums...-el Jesus negroThe Voice wrote:I'm ashamed to call myself a mod because of you.
I think you're missing my point. To see a Mod, as hmsps put it, not trot out the corporate line is huge because it shows that not everyone is in cahoots in Team CC. It's not a question of keeping a cool head and whatnot, it's showing that you'll stand up for what you think is right, no matter if you're a mod or not.Dukasaur wrote: It would be grossly inappropriate.
The most important requirements for someone in C&A are:
1. To keep a cool head; and
2. To avoid jumping to conclusions, and study the facts thoroughly.
Even really simple cases sometimes take a lot more time than this one has been in the pipes, and considering that this one broke at the beginning of a holiday weekend, it's really unreasonable to expect anyone to have investigated it thoroughly this soon.

this comment alone sums up your integrity.eddie2 wrote:so what if he has gained 150 points joining games and kicking multis out.
Nope... the question now is: Will all stop with the Maslis case? I think that someone missed that moment few days ago...Great-Ollie wrote:By the way this is not going to just go away, far too many people pissed off now! Another thread just popped up!
Too many people will not like that decision and too many threads will be opened because of it.Army of GOD wrote:Obviously for team CC coming out with a "not guilty" verdict is desirable, so I'd be surprised to see anything but that.
Correction he has earned ~150 points from his last 86 games... he has around 1700 games from that type. Now can u do us a favor and calculate how many points had he earned?eddie2 wrote:so what if he has gained 150 points joining games and kicking multis out.

that is interesting... was this even addressed or was an e-ticket sent?-0EagleofGreenErth wrote:I wonder if the ppl he played and banned were even multis... take Game 10252517 for instance... Gadinger had been on the site for 3+ years... he starts to beat Masli in the game and gets banned...

So he's presumed guilty and only a guilty ruling (and probably immediate dismissal from Team CC) will suffice?GoranZ wrote:Too many people will not like that decision and too many threads will be opened because of it.Army of GOD wrote:Obviously for team CC coming out with a "not guilty" verdict is desirable, so I'd be surprised to see anything but that.
Masli has not been a multi hunter for his entire time on the site, so unless he has played 1700 1v1 games since he became one, you can't try to extrapolate those numbers out.GoranZ wrote:Correction he has earned ~150 points from his last 86 games... he has around 1700 games from that type. If the user was innocent and had submitted an eticket, they would have been reinstated. Two weeks have passed and that hasn't been done yet (at least the cleared part, which is all I have access to).owenshooter wrote:that is interesting... was this even addressed or was an e-ticket sent?-0EagleofGreenErth wrote:I wonder if the ppl he played and banned were even multis... take Game 10252517 for instance... Shouldn't both be investigated?Night Strike wrote:Like I stated earlier, it's a HUGE leap to go from busting multis to gain points all the way to making wrongful busts just to gain points. Stick with the first argument because the second is just stupid.

He didn't necessarily need to be a Multi-Hunter to abuse the system.... The last part I totally agree with. One should always do what's right. But you're missing my point. Let's put your original post back into perspective:QoH wrote:I think you're missing my point. Voice said to Masli, "I'm ashamed ... because of you" (clearly implying that he thinks Masli is guilty) to which you answered that someone from C&A should say the same thing. I'm saying they definitely should not say any such thing, because they aren't free to jump to conclusions. Their job is to consider all the facts before making a decision.QoH wrote:It would hold more worth (not to take anything away from what you said there Voice), but if a mod from the C&A or Clan dept. would say the same thing, that would be monumental.owenshooter wrote:about time someone from team CC steps up and speaks their mind... i'm sure it isn't a popular move, but you just gained mega street cred in the forums...-el Jesus negroThe Voice wrote:I'm ashamed to call myself a mod because of you.
He can also resign and save remaining C&A team some time.Night Strike wrote:So he's presumed guilty and only a guilty ruling (and probably immediate dismissal from Team CC) will suffice?GoranZ wrote:Too many people will not like that decision and too many threads will be opened because of it.Army of GOD wrote:Obviously for team CC coming out with a "not guilty" verdict is desirable, so I'd be surprised to see anything but that.
I checked his last 86 public 1v1 games that last 24 hours and 25 from them ended with a ban. He has another 1600 games that fulfill the criteria, I don't have plans to check them all, 25 games form last 86 are enough for me. But if u like u can check the last (for example)286 games and share what u have found.Night Strike wrote:Masli has not been a multi hunter for his entire time on the site, so unless he has played 1700 1v1 games since he became one, you can't try to extrapolate those numbers out.GoranZ wrote:Correction he has earned ~150 points from his last 86 games... he has around 1700 games from that type. You totally lost me there mate.... Either I don't understand what you're saying or it's totally ridiculous.Dukasaur wrote:Voice said to Masli, "I'm ashamed ... because of you" (clearly implying that he thinks Masli is guilty) to which you answered that someone from C&A should say the same thing. The Voice is a pink nametag, as am I, and nobody is all that concerned about our opinions. Our lack of power has one benefit: we have a lot of freedom to say what we want, because our opinions don't have much impact on anyone else. But the mods with real power, the green and lime and orange and gold nametags, have to be very careful of their words, because their opinions do have real impact on others. And for a lime or orange nametag to say he's ashamed of someone when that someone hasn't had his day in court, would be grossly inappropriate, because it would imply prejudgement.
The problem is that it's happening behind closed doors. The public has no idea what to think here.Night Strike wrote:So he's presumed guilty and only a guilty ruling (and probably immediate dismissal from Team CC) will suffice?GoranZ wrote:Too many people will not like that decision and too many threads will be opened because of it.Army of GOD wrote:Obviously for team CC coming out with a "not guilty" verdict is desirable, so I'd be surprised to see anything but that.
I think it's a bad practise for anyone to engage in. But there are real consequences when someone with real power does it, whereas it's merely a nuisance when someone without power does it.Lindax wrote:You totally lost me there mate.... It depends on your color if you're allowed to imply prejudgement?
I think plenty of public members have let their opinions be heard on this matter, so obviously that aspect is not being hindered. And how would this take place in public? Tell me what the process would look like. Remember, none of it can include details about the information-gathering process of busing multis, so obviously a lot of the potential comments would have to be redacted, which would just lead to more cries about the process not being "open".Army of GOD wrote:The problem is that it's happening behind closed doors. Masli has played 1700 1v1 games since he has become a multi hunter? Impressive.GoranZ wrote:I checked his last 86 public 1v1 games that last 24 hours and 25 from them ended with a ban. Of course it makes sense, when the judge/jury in a case states "that cheating bastard is gonna fry" before the trial has even started, that would show a wee bit of prejudice against the defendant. Thus it would be silly for them to state anything either way, else they show their bias. Of course some of the public is of the opinion that the system is rigged and this long-arm-of-the-law will get away with the aforementioned misdeed. To paraphrase poorly, everyone is equal but some are more equal than others.Lindax wrote:
