Does this mean that both the game and movie character cannot be town?
I can not tell for sure if the part marked in red imply that the can both be town or just tells that two can exist, since English isn't my first language.

doesn't matter, pretty sure you were the topper.

you guys actually managed to lynch tifa lockhart with no counter claim to her character. amazing.

please look on my bandwagon a lot of people voted without any real reason or really crappy ones. No way all of them could be misguided townies.

and my character was not a JOAT, I tried to claim something I could hide behind.

I was Tifa Lockhart - Vengeful Bodyguard. Basically if someone night kills Cloud I would die instead but kill the one who came to kill him (with crystal gloves). and my flavor of my kill DID come in a separate PM.

I was going to claim this at L-1, but I missed some votes.

good luck town!
I am pretty sure that is not a lynch. Not even close. I think you knew that too though.

My vote stands. It just seems now like you have been caught out so are claiming a new role that is even harder for us to prove. But you lied once with no real reason so I do not trust you.

it is about 6-7 votes atm out of the 12, as dazza said it is still far from a lynch.

I just counted and got 8 too.

So why did you fakeclaim as town then William? It makes no sense. As town you should claim your role if you have to and someone will protect you. The only need to fakeclaim is if you are not town.

This sounds like a desperation plea if I've ever heard one. Not only did you lie about your town claim, but you lied about being able to prove it. If you are town, you killed yourself.

basically what everyone else is saying and why I'm banging my head against the wall. Desperate plea is probable and very hard to prove. Also not sure it fits flavor wise. If you are telling the truth than not only did you sink your own ship a long time ago but you also forced me to counter claim you.

I doubt the second scenario so I am now more convinced than ever you are scum.

Either way you pretty much have to get policy lynched at this point, because we can never be sure if you are telling the truth about your role.. If you are town you should never lie. We have to Lynch All Liars to make progress.

This is what killing you right now - overreaction and exaggeration. Had you claimed that character, I'd have been more inclined to accept it as it suits the flavour so much better, but with all of the BS you've done, this is the last point.

Vote WW.

Yup, this. It does fit flavour wise much better than JOAT (Tifa was in love with Cloud and could easily see her sacrificing herself to save him) and had this been the original claim, I'd have an extremely hard time thinking that this would be a fake claim.. However, with all of his BS through out the 2 days, it does not matter now.

I actually disagree with this statement. I have made lies that saved town before and I am not afraid to say that if I will think that it is better for town if I'd lie, I will do it again. However. this is a minority exception and occasions for that are very rare. This is most definitely not that exception.
But... It was so artistically done.

Let's take Tifa as an example.

They can both exist -> town can have 2 Tifas
They can be 1 real/1 fake -> town can have 1 Tifa and the other can be a fakeclaim given to mafia
They can both be fakeclaims -> town can have 0 Tifas and both Tifa identities can be a fakeclaim given to mafia

I hope this helped you understand the possibilities, which basically state that "anything is possible".

Vote count incoming.

So you would leave him after he lied so much. We will probably never know if he is lying or not till he is dead. He has given a claim that is almost impossible to prove.

in a game this size, what does it matter to wait 1 day to investigate him a little? it's not like he'll kill 5 townies on his own overnight.

the thing that i find strange however is that he kept insisting on giving him a chance to proof he had crystal gloves, yet he couldn't even proof it if he wanted to with the role he claimed last, that, and why is cloud so important he'd need hs personal bodyguard.

but other then that, it doesn't hurt to think this through a little more, does it?

That's the very reason his claim sticks out even more as a lie. As far as investigation, I already said he's acting like a godfather.

Because he's lying. :?

I have no problem using the day to talk about other cases, but no one's presented any so far, and simply unvoting without contributing any new discussion doesn't help any.

So what better case do you see? You doing this seems scummy to me. If he is scum we need to take a close look at you tomorrow. If he is scum it seems you want to waste a night of investigations etc. checking him out.

I think the best thing to do is to lynch him now and move on with the game.

If his latest claim is true the only way to prove it is for Cloud to claim and someone kill him and see what happens and that is just crazy.
