Why did Mr. Gix get a "bye" this round? There are several players now that have 2 lives. According to the rules, shouldn't one of us have gotten the "Bye"?gameplayer wrote:If there are an odd number of players when a round starts, a player will be randomly selected to get a "bye" from the players with the most amount of lives.
I use random.org to randomize the pairings, and for some reason I just wasn't paying attention to whether or not we had an even or odd number. I went down the list and made all the games, and realized only after I got to the bottom that there was one left over. I didn't want to re-do ~15 minutes of work so I just let it slip for this round. Next round if there's an odd number I'll make sure to get it right.Swifte wrote:From the Format section on your first post (bold added for emphasis):Why did Mr. Gix get a "bye" this round? I'm glad I didn't get a bye this round, picked up (at least) 2 more "going second" victoriesSwifte wrote:From the Format section on your first post (bold added for emphasis):Why did Mr. Gix get a "bye" this round?
