My ancestor(500 years ago) saved the nephew of the Polish king from
Moscow. For this deed he was granted nobility.

I have my own family seal!

I am a descendant of Ulysses S. Grant. One of our country's best generals and worst presidents all rolled into one.

I'm surprised there's been no Biblical stuff. Some people can go all the way back to mary magdalene and Judah and the rest. Has to do with name tracery. I can do it too. Last name is Longino. Some people get to be related to John the Baptist or even Pontius Pilate. Me? Cassius Longinus. The Roman Centurion who stabbed Christ on the cross. Damn. My parents are nerds, my father won the E. O. Wilson award... Thazzit.

My paternal Grand-father's family were some of the first white settlers in the Oregon country. My grandfather told a story about how his aunt or great aunt was the first lady sheriff in all of Oregon. My Maternal Grand-father's mother's maiden name was Cox, which I am told is a major family in Virginia. Rumor has it that she was the granddaughter of Robert E. Lee... I am not too sure the truth of that story. Though my grandfather talk about how his parents owned slaves.

dont know the names

A Colonel in the Civil war(pennsylvania)
1st divers(dutch)
Uncle was a Chief Admiral in the dutch navy

Family name is Moor, possibly from the Moors who conquered Spain,
Its possible since Spain controled the Netherlands for quite some time.

Obviously we are all old blood, but i have some reason to believe we originate from India. Ofcourse thats thousands of years ago.

I'm a great-great-great-great grandson of the illegitimate son of the King of Denmark. Probably not even in the line of succession to the throne, though.

Somewhere, deep in the bowels of my family tree, I am related to Wyatt Earp.

Let's see, I have a great(x2, maybe x3) grandfather who was a Cherokee on the Trail of Tears.

My Uncle works at Kennedy Space Center.

My mom once met Jimi Hendrix at a concert.

That's all that springs to mind.
