True chap, but often a mod will not tell a character if their role has some sort of sanity. For instance, insane cops often don't know they're insane (certain roleflavors may hint at it). Town Millers and bombs sometimes are told they're VT's (I used this in some of my games). So it's not a guarantee that clever knows if he's some sort of sanity doc, he could just be going off his role PM.chapcrap wrote:Didn't check in yesterday, but I just read up on the claim. unvote
That's a funny character for the mod to make a doc. It seems like CLEVER could be a an insance doc (which I've never seen in one of my games) or some other doc variation. I wonder if there is more to it that just straight doctor. If there were something more to his role, I would think that it would say with a claim like that. Since he hasn't said anything about it, makes more sense that someone else might be the SK Mr. Hyde.

He is so adorable and innocent!

Are you saying you're not town?strike wolf wrote:... I know about as much as town does about Some7hing. ...
So, can you confirm that you are not bullet-proof then? If so, I think we can more or less eliminate the possibility of him being a CPR doctor, as such a scenario would have required someone to have tried to kill you. And having (presumably) three killing players and CPR doc seems like a recipe for an insane bloodbath.strike wolf wrote:On a serious note. As I said. i believe what strikewolf meant to say was he/she was that they knew as much as THE REST of the town.chapcrap wrote:Are you saying you're not town?strike wolf wrote:... I know about as much as town does about Some7hing. ...
Odd slip from a usually thorough player.

I still have Page 25 to read, but you just struck me with a very odd thought. If, in fact, his bad side takes over at night, could he not be somewhat of a poisoner? Such like a poisoner in that matter.soundman wrote:I don't think there would be a second person who was Mr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde are the same person, he just separated his bad side from his good resulting in a war between those two sides. If I remember the story right (read it in high school) during the day his good side is dominate and as such keeps his real name Dr. Jekyll. But at night his bad side takes over and he calls himself Mr. Hyde. So it wouldn't make sense to me for them to be separate persons. I'm not sure what that means in this game though... My best guess is he is an Insane Doctor and he got lucky last night.
Sorry the "He did not kill me last night" was supposed to be a hint at not being bulletproof.spiesr wrote:So, can you confirm that you are not bullet-proof then? Yes, but with this many players, there could be more protective roles besides doctor. So theoretically, it is possible for there to be both a sane and insane doc, but there could also be some bodyguard or JOAT or jailkeeper out there as well.chapcrap wrote:@ghostly
CLEVER is the only claimed doc. Usually if there is someone insane, as you propose CLEVER might be, there is also someone sane to counteract. There has been no counterclaim on a doctor. I don't think we should lynch him. I've done this to a doctor before and I immediately regretted it and town lost the game because of it.
Oddly enough, you quoted soundman and he was the mod in that game.

What safari said. I feel that this claim may be fake, or he may be insane, or maybe he is an SK. The Jekyll claim does not sit right with me. Call me schizophrenic but I am seriously considering lynching an option. He adds too much fluff (I know he is new, but he has been in enough games to see at least to some extent how a game is played), He isnt all that active posting wise (I will let D1 slip, I dont even feel comfortable posting too much of value on D1 yet, but D2 was a bunch of fluff until he stood accused), and then this claim is just not one that I hold to be townie.safariguy5 wrote:Yes, but with this many players, there could be more protective roles besides doctor. He's played enough games? I don't think I've played with him before. He doesn't act like he's played enough games.ghostly447 wrote:What safari said. So for that, my vote remains.
I agree. He is in 2 other games that I know of but none of them are finished or that far on.chapcrap wrote:He's played enough games? I don't think I've played with him before. He was up to, by my count, probably 6-7 games but ends up getting lynched because everyone here puts everything under a microscope (his words exactly). Whether those games have concluded or not was not what I was saying. Just saying, I know of several other games hes played with me.dazza2008 wrote:I agree. I'm not sure what to think. He could be really anything with the name, SK, Insane Doc, CPR Doc. So I still have my suspicions if we want to test his claim tonight, he can target me.DoomYoshi wrote:It is a tricky claim. Since there is an overall consensus that he is probably insane or something similar, perhaps we could agree that he shouldn't protect anyone, for fear he might kill them? Dr. Jekyll does sit uneasily over my head, but I don't necessarily think this is the best idea either, unless we have actual proof that he is insane.
The only thing I don't like about lynching him based on the claim is that it would be a case of playing the mod, not the game. He has dropped loads of scumtells and we followed them up. This led to a claim. I am not sure there is much else we can do. Some players may just take longer to learn. However, I fully understand your point ghost.
I also noticed that jonty didn't unvote. Is this because you don't believe the claim jonty?
Make sure you don't overwhelm yourself either. Even most experienced players don't like to be in more than 4 or 5. Slightly off-topic, but where do we go from here?Some7hingCLEVER wrote:ok i put myself in alot of games thinking the more i am in the faster i will learn
