For tourney purposes I put out a feeler in the Immediate Openings forum and will give that a few days. If no one shows up by the weekend, we'll just forfeit the rest of 'Bama's games.
UCSB is in. Gold SW on the right shoulder and a moment of silence at the next game.Robespierre__ wrote:The Princeton team is wearing black "SW" armbands for the remainder of its games this season.
You should talk to DJ Teflon about getting a GA Medal for the winner of the NIT.flexmaster33 wrote:NIT TOURNEY — We will also hold a consolation 32-team NIT tournament. It will follow along with the regular season format through the early rounds before adopting the March Madness format once it heads to Madison Square Garden for the semifinals. No prizes for this consolation tourney…this is simply for fun and bragging rights.
And retroactively issue them to previous NIT winners IMO.chapcrap wrote:You should talk to DJ Teflon about getting a GA Medal for the winner of the NIT.flexmaster33 wrote:NIT TOURNEY — We will also hold a consolation 32-team NIT tournament. Bowling Green opts to wear the armbands as well. A sad time in NCAA.callmecommander wrote:UCSB is in. Gold SW on the right shoulder and a moment of silence at the next game.Robespierre__ wrote:The Princeton team is wearing black "SW" armbands for the remainder of its games this season.
Very sad. I didn't know him, but still very sad.
i hope so, i am hoping to go 5-0 if i beat #1 Illinois this week and have already defeated them before. But at least i am back in the top 50chapcrap wrote:7-0 vs the Top 25 and I'm taking number 13 down to the wire at home. That's how you get to the top!
... And that rare occurrence is exactly what happened to me.flexmaster33 wrote:
• Scoring is based on a three-map system (see box below). Teams that win 2 of 3 will usually come out on top, but it is possible to win once and take the game if you win quickly and lose long battles. This allows us to post realistic basketball scores and track scoring stats for the teams. All maps are played on the home team’s settings. If the game is tied, an overtime map will be used.
Tennessee, now #10, prevails. It was a game of huge runs, as the Vols sprinted out to an early 32-16 lead at home. The crowd was rocking at Thompson-Boling Arena. Before you could bat an eye, the Razorbacks recovered and, only a few minutes into the second half, tied the game at 48. The remainder of the game had a March Madness feel to it, as the teams battled back and forth. As soon as it seemed one team was about to go on a run, the other would roar back to tie it up. The game came down to the final minute, as Tennessee was able to convert consecutive 3 pointers to put the game away 77-70. A well fought game that was tooth and nail, nothing you wouldn't expect from two top 10 teams!chapcrap wrote:7-0 vs the Top 25 and I'm taking number 13 down to the wire at home. Sadly, this is true. But the Razorbacks have bounced back with a dominant showing in front of the home crown in Fayetteville. The Florida Gators are going back to the swamplands with their tails between their legs.Hath wrote:Tennessee, now #10, prevails. Tennessee hands Arkansas its first Top-25 loss, while remaining unbeaten against top-flight competition itself at 5-0.
