Does anyone else have any thoughts about if roles could switch sides or any cases (I haven't got any)?

I'm guessing they interact with each other somehow, but like / said, it's a complete mystery to us. Maybe there's a role like a busdriver or somethign that switches the side a player's action takes place in. But playing the mod might result in head explosions, so I'll stop there

Vote Victor Sullivan.

With Safari's unvote and Victor Sullivan's reluctance to remove his jokevote (or contribute to the game at all), Shield could actually survive by giving me a last minute vote and winning a coin toss. Should Shield decide to take this route, my vote gives Shield the option of disputing the coin toss with someone far less useful and possibly mafia-aligned instead.

Either way it sucks that we have to come down to a random lynch because few players actually bothered to play the game on this side. If you're not willing to honour your commitment of playing, perhaps you should seek to be replaced?

By "you" I'm not referring only to VS, in case that wasn't clear.

I'm agreeable to that assessment. Especially since my vote on Shield is answered by his attempt at analysis.

Rodion, don't give me that crap. You ignored this thread for days while you bickered senselessly in Side A. Frankly, I'm not too fond of your overbearing and controlling posts that, in my mind, actually do more harm than good, assuming you are town. I've stepped away from this game a bit purposefully, because I had no will to continue on with the useless debate you started in Side A, regarding the 'deal' you proposed and all the repercussions of said deal. pancakemix certainly had more stamina than me when it came to attacking your defense. At any rate, I think you are blinded by bias against those who disagree with you or are not up to your standards. I'll not have it. Get your head straight and start thinking objectively.

Disclaimer: This is not to say I necessarily believe you are scum, Rodion.

Did you even take the time to understand what I said? Shield had 2 votes and I had 1. If that situation remained until tomorrow, Shield could try a last ditch attempt at survival by voting me, thus tying the vote count (Shield 2 votes, Rodion 2 votes) and forcing / to lynch one of us randomly. I decided not to force Shield into doing that by voting someone else and giving him the option of using his latch ditch attempt against someone other than me.

I could not have thought more objectively than when I just voted you.

The issue seems to be that of all people I could pick to vote, I chose you. Is that it? Because I have several straight and objective reasons for choosing you over others:
a) I was only put into this unconfortable position because you made a jokevote and vanished (newsflash: your jokevote is still on me)
b) as a consequence of "a", if I decided to vote someone else to give Shield the option, this someone else could retaliate and vote me, allowing Shield to make a last minute vote on me and get me lynched with 100% certainty if I'm not online to react and drop that to 50%. You could not retaliate by placing a 2nd vote on me because, in case you have failed to realize, your one vote is already on me
c) Saf basically voted Shield thinking that if we needed to have a random lynch (in an ideal word, everyone would have posted enough times and we wouldn't need a random lynch), we had better get rid of "dead weight" players. It's sound logic, but I think the gold (or even silver) dead weight medal is far beyond Shield's grasp. In case you forgot how I loathe your gameplay, http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 9#p3476879

To mention other parts of your post, blaming your side B inactivity in not wanting to discuss a plan you clearly could not understand is purely bull****. This thread was pretty much untainted by "plans" until Shield felt the need to show effort and decided of all things to analyse the plan (because everyone's absence didn't really give him another option). You could have participated here in many ways, for instance:
a) you could have supported Saf's BW on Shield
b) you could have criticized Safari for advocating a random lynch instead of rallying everyone to come post so that we could have a non-random lynch
c) Shield was in trouble, so he tried to speculate on some things that involved maths and probability. You're a math teacher, right? You could have helped, you know...

tl;dr
1 - I had to vote someone to minimize my chance of being lynched
2 - you had it coming because your jokevote was on me ("a" and "b") and I consider you the weakest player on the game ("c", even proven with a link/quote from another game)
3 - making up excuses for not contributing to side B is ridiculous.

Yes, Shield, I said you are far from being the worst or 2nd worst player in this game. You can consider yourself complimented for being in the top 10. ;)

Can we vote for a no lynch? With so little discussion on this side I'm not very comfortable with a random lynch.

From Side A:

To answer your question, I think that means we can prevent a lynch by having most players voting "no lynch".

It depends on whether we would require a claim from either side to include a claim on the other side. If that is the case, I'm fine with a no lynch vote here in Side B as we can get info in Side A.

@Rodion, thanks, I appreciate the support :)

@Sully, Rodion thinks you're a stinky player but I don't know what this forum would be like without you. I'd miss you too much if you left :)

As it stands right now, either Sully, I, or Rodion will be lynched. VOTE NO LYNC Now there's a 25% chance no one will be lynched.

Sorry if the mixed-in jokes confused you. I was trying to be helpful by posting a summary of what has been said about your gameplan: how you say it will work and the opposition to it, and also a little of my own opinion. I would say that it's a great idea, but it has a major flaw in that M/M players can gain town's trust by claiming T/M. I don't think you've addressed that yet, or if you have I missed it.
You frustrate me, sir! I actually thought we were getting somewhere as far as finding 100% mafia.

Since you asked, I have adressed that. I mentioned that if someone were to take me on the offer, everyone else would not be forced to clear the person in the other game. The deal would occur between Rodion and "the confesser", while every other townie would be able to reap its benefits in one game without having to pay its price in the other game. Is that clear?
Not to mention that, roles being assigned randomly, the odds of a M/M player existing is 2,72% I think. (3 x 3 x 3) / (11 x 10 x 9)

Would you be interested in categorizing people that voted/FOS me in the other game by which counter-argument they raised (something like PCM 1, Jonty 2, VS 3 and so on)?

I'm under the impression you'll have major trouble trying to categorize at least 2 of them.
ok sorry im bringing this up but i was reading up and i saw this
ok are you doctor or some other protective role ? cause the "deal would occur between me and the "confessor"" makes no sense you cant save him from being lynched because last time i checked we wouldnt need your vote to lynch him. and i understand you say that you will make a decision and that the rest of town doesnt have to listen to you but in saying this IMO no town would ever take that offer unless there was 100% chance he wont get lynched and as of now there is not

i will read up on the rest and see if i have anything else to say

God Damn. A nolynch after 9 pages of this?

Give me a break. We need the info, and this is no way to get it.

My vote remains on shield for his crap earlier today and not for championing this NL business. If another case has merit and support I will swing to it in order to have a productive lynch.

9 Pages of what exactly?
us discussing this plan ..its pretty much all i see when i read through and that doesnt help us towards a lynch at all so whatever info you have on shield is great but the bigger fact is that no cases have enough merit for me to vote on so therefore my vote is on a no lynch

You are right, there is not a simple arrow pointing at the one guy who confessed to be scum. A NL will leave us right where we started this morning - nowhere.
