Obviously cats are better. Often, during my forays into the seedy underbelly of the UK jazz scene, I am referred to as a "cool cat", but sometimes people say that I'm "the man, dog". I'm not "up" on all the slang, but I know it's considered preferable to be "cool" rather than "the man", which so many would like to "stick it to".

Dogs require lots of time and attention and walking, but cats exercise themselves and could care less if they got out or not.

You should all please read the thread title. If you want to post reasons why you think cats are better than dogs, you should make a new thread for that and stop derailing this thread with what Night Strike calls "hit pieces" against dogs.

Dogs are better than cats because they don't poop inside of your house. Can be taught to poop in a sandbox outside. Fend off scary opossums. They are fun to wrestle when you are a kid. They can be used as a pillow when camping. You can shoot a duck and they will bring it to you. What more do you want?

On a side note: I was afraid of TailGunner before (see his signature, he looks tough). Now that he is raising alligator fighting cats, I am hiding.
