Alstergren and Company

Post by Patroclus »

Alstergren and Company

You are being CALLED OUT to a Best of Three Competition on Classic Maps.

My Team will consist of no one that I have ever played with. In one case, I have played against a proposed teammate.

This will give your team the best chance of winning without the obvious extra option of playing newbies or someone who may go deadbeat.

I have informed my prospective teammates of my rather poor team play as a caveat, should they be afraid of losing points to your superior team.

The games, should you accept, will start when the "Lose Points for DeadBeating" Option goes into effect, so you will have no way out without losing points.

The Game #'s are 38373, 38384, and 38375 if you would like to check the game rules. Please notice that not one of these games is Freestyle, so your option of hovering at the computer for your benefit against other players that may have a life will not be an issue. You will still be allowed, however, luck of the draw on first turn.

Please advise me here, in the open, of your acceptance or decline. If you accept, I will send you the passwords when my team is situated.

Yours,
Monkey Man

HighBorn: I'd rather play against AllStar and the two that continually support him. It seems that you have repented, to a point, in your replies to Negative FeedBack upon you. (You have no negative Feedback from me).

If, however, you choose to lay with AllStar, and he can't get support from his other players, then, I'll let you in. I'm thinking that you may have been just misguided by the seemed literacy of AllStar, and I'd be willing to let it go at that.

Yours,
Patroclus

AK: You are indeed one of the enablers. EyeSore and CrumbBug or whatever, are the other two. Pick your best team. Same three.

If you mean you cant join games begun by Patro due to the fact he started them and he is on your ignore list, I believe you are mistaken. The ignore only keeps him from joining games you implement.

Got a better reason ak-ice?

AK Meltman: For the sake of these games, I will remove Alstergren from my Ignore List. So far you are not on it. If you all wussy out, I'll put you all on Ignore and that'll be the end of it.

Very simple. Doesn't require pages of justification.

I'm just giving you guys a chance.

I can't believe that I've been suckered like this. Was all this drama just a build up for the first fight of the Century at C Club?

Reminds me of all the hoopla surrounding professional boxing. There was one fight not too long ago where one of the fighters, I think it may have been Vargas, was saying that after the fight he was going to do De La Hoya's wife so she would know what it was like to be with a real man.....lol

Needless to say, the fight took in one of the biggest pay per view in years and, of course, Oscar kicked his ass.

Grudge matches are always a big draw...

GL All!!!

Team Monkey is already at the table!

I think I'll start the "Official Trash Talking Thread" for this!

I see that you were unable to keep the kind of language and those groundless accusations of yours in the flame forum where such crap belongs. Please, just use the thread you created there for that and try to keep it sober here.

Normally we're no big fans of neither the classic map, nor card games. On the other hand we always welcome any challenge for a team game so we're in. I don't think you need to worry about any superior team play though in this particular map and with the card settings. However, it will be interesting if you can walk the walk after miserably having failed lately to talk the talk.

We were pleased to note that none of the games were freestyle though since we never play that setting (under no circumstances, so don't even consider challenging us to such a game). We were also pleased to see that the games were sequential since that prevents your team from taking any de facto double turns. Please feel free though to skip a turn if you wish since that rarely is useful tactic (there will be no complains if you employ that move).

Shall I consider the fact that you sent a password as a hint that you wish to start the games right away?

If Lack had implemented the No DeadBeat Option, we are good to go.

Of course, you could "promise" not to DeadBeat and you'd be taken at your word, and we'd be good to go.

I took the Liberty to start a Trash Talk Thread for this in the Flame Forum. Feel free to trash me there.

Yours,
Patroclus

I do not leave any promises or guarantees to dogs. Please advise us if you want the game to go on right away or if you still maintain that we should wait.

I was just informed that the updated "Screw the DeadBeat" option will not be installed till later in July.

Just join the freakin' game and play by honor. If your deadbeat, or use any of those other nefarious tactics, you are just showing your true colors.
