Waterloo is a great map for 1vs1 as there are a variaty of ways to work the map for a win.King Engineer wrote:I like playing 1 v 1, but I feel that most maps have more luck involved than strategy..............
In your experience, what maps are best for 1 v 1 in the sense that much more strategy is involved in them compared to luck ?
while i love waterloo for 1v1 8 out of 10 (if both players knows the map) starting equals win.. battle for iraq is also great from 1v1 but alos starting is a huge advantage (while we shouldnt kid ourselfs saying its not on most maps the maps i listed earlier either or both negates the drop-luck and minimizes the starting advantage,,)Iron Butterfly wrote:Waterloo is a great map for 1vs1 as there are a variaty of ways to work the map for a win.King Engineer wrote:I like playing 1 v 1, but I feel that most maps have more luck involved than strategy..............

I disagree with this.codierose wrote:problem you got from 1v1 is most maps where you don't draw first turn you will find it hard to pull of a win.
It all comes down to who has the better dice though.DiM wrote:try "All your base are belong to us"
the drop doesn't really matter and most of all going first doesn't bring an advantage like many maps do.
basically if you know what you're doing you can easily win going second. in fact i think i might have won more often when going second)
also play it only with fog.
lol, that's valid for all maps. if you roll just 1s and i roll just 6s i frankly won't care what map we play, what settings we have or if you go first and even get a bonus from the start, i'll still kick your assDoomYoshi wrote:It all comes down to who has the better dice though.DiM wrote:try "All your base are belong to us"

Conquer Rome is a good one. As is conquer man, hive, bigger non-conquest maps in general.

You should have a CC stand up routine!!darth emperor wrote:The best map for this is without any doubt... Saint Patrick's Day![]()
lol bro accept his invite. do it, please.AndyDufresne wrote:There are some pretty good non-complex 1vs1 maps out there. Hit me up if you want to try some out, 1vs1 is the bulk of my play usually!

It is because no one has the mental energy to play that god forsaken mapmc05025 wrote:Hive it is. If you are good at it you can have the rank of General by playing casual sequential games with random people. I do not know any other map you can do something like this. Try it with no spoil and chained reinforcement
That is because you are playing speed games with 1 min and people do not have the time to understand a complicated map they do not know. If you were playing casual the results wouldn't be the same. More majors and colonels using BOB will join your games and your results would not be the sameJippd wrote:Das schloss got me to general
