Deadline reached, jonty has been deadline killed
The people of Two Sides gathered and converged at the local science center, they demanded to know what unnatural experiments happened in these labs, what relation is had to the flashes at night, the smells of leather and gunpowder in the air, the supposed sightings of bodies flying through the air, never to be seen again.
“It doesn’t matter, you are safe, I have done nothing to you…” words of reassurance and secrecy from the doctor, it seemed true enough, there has been as of yet, no evidence of wrongdoing. Why were these people so agitated? They were here, more or less in one piece, yet something was missing, in the greater outlook of all existence, something had been violated, another side to their selves was changed, tainted with death, they needed to do something, fast to save what was left. They set upon this man, who was not directly their enemy, who in his own way did everything he could to save them; save everything, and stained their hands his blood.
This would just be the belated beginning to their struggles.
