tourney gameplay
1. there will be two games played for each race. each with 8 players. one game will be lane 1, and the other game will be lane 2
2. there will be two qualifying games played before each race. initially each player will be randomly placed into a game. once a score has been logged, then it will go off of the scoreboard. the top 8 players will go in a qualifying game, and the bottom 8 will go into the other.
3. the last 4 players eliminated in each qualifying game will go into lane 1. the first 4 eliminated in each of the qualifying games will be in lane 2
4. once the qualifying game has ended, the race will start. this will be a new game. so there will be essentially 4 games for each race. each player will play in two of them. a qualifying race that gets no points unless you win the pole ( more on this below ) and then the actual race. this is where the points come from. to win the race you have to win the lane 1 game.
5. you can not win the race in lane 2. only those in lane 1 have a chance to win the race. but each race everyone has a chance to get into lane 1 by playing the qualifying games.
6. lane 1 scoring order is determined by what order you leave the game.
