Hello I would like to join your clan as I am looking for a fun clan and I think I meet all your conditions.

Conditions for joining

1)The one clan rule will be enforced (AM NOT CURRENTLY PART OF A CLAN)
2)Willingness to be a team player and past success doing so. (CHECK AND CHECK)
3)Success on a variety of boards recommended (CHECK)
4)Being addicted to this game to the point of putting personal relationships and livelihood at risk would definitely help you fit in with the group (CHECK... I HAVE ON MANY OCCASIONS LEFT MY WIFE STRANDED AT HER MOTHERS IN ORDER TO FINISH ALL MY ACTIVE GAMES AND JOIN 3-4 MORE)

We're looking for some new swine to fill our sty. Apply to within or by PM.

Just over a year ago...a small band of swine formed itself from the abyss and thrust itself into the clan world. Not a pig to a snout had ever been a part of a clan before...we were a completely new, unknown, unheard of type of beast. We spent time training...working on strange and foreign boards...and tried valiantly but ultimately to no avail to keep Coco from pissing in the hay inside the sty.
We have not been perfect. We took an early beating to a more experienced Grim Reapers squad. FOED drank us under the table in the quarter finals of the All Comers Cup...and TOFU is about to prove itself to be a leaner, meaner type of protein source than pork.
That being said...we have had a hell of a year. We knocked off upstart AKA...then defeated a strong Devil's Brigade clan in a 60 game challenge. We defeated OSA, then came up with a top 5 upset win over Agents of Chaos in the All Comer's Cup. Along the way we notched wins over the New Crusade...and VDDL.
We are a top 10 clan, and we are now openly recruiting. (Please sign up quickly because once our TOFU defeat goes down in the books...we are no longer going to be able to use this as a selling point) Preference will be given to folks who can quote Lonesome Dove, or drink as much as the Irish. Experience in team games (winning experience preferred) is also a must.
We do not have a fancy "training grounds" or any sort of weird initiation rights. You simply have to play a few games with Coco and stay above sergeant.
Our goals are to play the best clans on the site...and have a hell of a time doing it.

Coco...if by chance you make this one of the first forum posts that you read...I will mention publicly that you are actually our clan's leader in winning percentage for clan games at the moment...1.5% points in front of Berger. Usually I would never worry about him reading these things...but I am concerned that the "hooked on phonics" set we got him for christmas may be taking hold and I might have to be a little more careful about what i say about him.

Allright...if you are currently in a clan, please disregard this post...you have probably already been recruited by and soon joining TOFU.

However, if you are new to the clan scene, want to join an established clan that has put together some strong victories, and had one hell of a time doing it, please give us a shout. None of our members have ever come from another clan...a distinction not many clans can make and one that we are quite proud of. Tournament players, team game players, anyone except point herders is welcome to apply.

(For official correctness, Joe Snuffie and Padsta were in clans way before joing the Pig Renters, but had long since dropped their clans before joining us)

We don't send new-comers to a training ground, we bring you into the sty and play a ton of games with you. Most of them in tournaments or clan wars. We have a track record for raising new members' rank one or two levels, and have historically added significant numbers of tournament medals and clan war medals to our new members' profile (unless you get paired up with me and coco...in which case you will inevitably lose in the tournament finals).

We are looking for 2-3 strong players who want to give stepping up to the clan scene a shot.
