Why can't I post on someone's wall?

Post by Topgeneral »

[Q&A]

It says I can't post on someone's wall. Reasoning? I'm playing with the person right now, so can you play with foes?

They probably foed you after you started playing.

Or

If they have YOU foed and you do not have them foed then they can join a game that you are in. You can't join a game if you are their foe and they are already in it.

So either of those could be the situation.

Or it's a tournament game. Tournament games ignore foe lists.

I had a question about this too. I will often look at my opponents walls and ratings, and sometimes I end up on other players walls whom I have never played with. I have noticed a few say I am unable to post on their wall whule the majority have a comment box open. I have never foed anyone so I know that's not the case. Did they foe me without ever playing with me? Or is there anyother explanation?

It could be that you were foed. It could also be that the person you are looking at isn't on the scoreboard. After a certain time of inactivity, the ability to write on a person's wall is removed.

If he's playing in games with them, this is unlikely.

yes you can play with foes. If YOU have foed someone, he cannot join games you are ALREADY in (except tournament games) However you can STILL join HIS games(or games where hi is already in).
this is a feature, not a bug.
you get no warning if you join, that you are joining someone on your foelist
