Fine let's Meta some more...It would make sense to have Marovignan and the Twins as one faction, with the computers/sentinels/Deus ex Machina as another faction. Throw in Agent Smith as the SK, and there will be a lot of killing night one. Or perhaps the machines are all one player, controlled by Deus ex...essentially two SKs. However, that leaves the mafia short a few players. Endless possibilities...

However, if they are mafia, why do they need to be masoned? That is not logical...is it? So, why the meta thought on something that is near 0% happening?

As to jak, I'm all for pressuring the inactives. (My other thought was to pressure one of the voters that were on both mine and jak's bandwagon. That was Dazza, Iron Butterfly, and Everywhere. However, I'm not sure I can blame any of them for voting me...or jak. Nor do any of them cross check with jak111's list.) And really they are all more active, which will eventually lead to their demise, if they are mafia. The inactives can continue to skate along all they want, though. Never helping us out, and never posting enough to have a slip-up.

I would vote for one of the five submariners.

Agreed. Twins would be awesome. I was hoping for that role. I would def assume they would be in game and masons. Almost 100%. Good point though. Jak and Doom def not in the clear just yet. But I will give them benefit for now. Least we do know that they are on same side, which ever it is.

There seems to be a lot of bandwagon goin on. Which isn't all bad if that's the plan to get some info.
Would be really good if everyone would make their own case and we kind vote who to bandwagon on in order to get some info out of them.

I'll reread a bunch and come up with what I can.

and Hippo's case was very strange, no exp with him but is he trying to draw attention to himself of what?

Sorry Doom, got back from holiday in the weekend and still trying to catch my tail. I've been reading and watching but you are right, not contributing. I consider my hand slapped. I am interested that Betico, Dazza and Sparticus are having lovely little chats and interludes. Looking really professional and on to it but IMHO seem joined at the hip and going unchallenged. IMHO Betico screams out loudest as being too "try hard" and "daddy" for my liking.

if you look at crazy super hero mafia i was mafia and we were masoned i honestly didnt see the point but just pointing it out that it could happen

but i have to say i am against pressuring inactives. at least not before they have a chance to defend themselves and especially not if we have a better case so ill say pressuring right now is pretty decent idea. i think a prod is in place but only on a list of inactives that i can gather later today if you would like.

Interesting thought on the twins. Does make for some questions as what other masons there could be as I would have figured Tank and Dozer would have been one, but with Tank supposedly out I am trying to figure where else it could fit. Opens the door as others have said to multiple factions being involved as that was the case.

I agree that a prod would be a good thing because the submariners could just skating away without leaving themselves open to hits. I hate chasing inactives and would like to see them come around at least to have some say in how the game goes.

Flavor for masons is easy to fit with a hundred different combos because people can speak with regular phones within the matrix and to the outside of the matrix.

The twins wouldn't have to be masoned, but we might fakeclaim that if we were crazy. I am not that crazy.

A mason only implies that the two masons can talk at night. Mafia are usually by definition "masoned" in that they all know who each other are and can all talk at night. It's unnecessary to say Mafia are masons because it's a given.

This also means that "mason" is a vialable (altho extremely risky) claim for mafia. They can claim masons and get away with it because their scum buddy would back them up. However it is very risky because if one of them dies then the town knows they're not really masons.

There is such a thing as a mafia mason, though. A mafia member who is paired with a town mason who might or might not have been told that his partner could be scum. Very bastard role. I don't like them. However, I doubt anything like that is happening here.

Or how about actually paying attention to everyone. That is the problem here, I get why people chose me to vote for and pick apart at, bit it's another thing to completely ignore everyone else. That's where the town turned their blind eye on.

As for Leehar's post, I didn't OMGUS everyone... just 96% of them... ;3. Though really, there were a few bad calls in the voting on me, like at least they could've stated their opinions instead of following the leader so to speak. I don't know about you but the whole "I don't wanna say what other people already said so I'm just now going to vote for you" thing does not speak much to me about them trying anything besides joining the wagon, ya know?

It's D1, there really is very little to go off other than say you've been acting scummy. Heck, both you and Doom considered you to be acting scummy, tho tbh I didn't even think there was enough on you that necessitated self-immolation?

I'll accede to your point that some of the votes were indicative of a lack of participation by the interest, which I think reflects a general malaise in the use of 'people power'. It's another reason why I've been disappointed in the vote-jumpers like Hippo etc. Even if you don't have 1 vote, it should still be used wisely, and it seems people are often content not to put the effort in to making good decisions... (think I ended up going a bit ot there, but the principle still holds true methinks)

This is what I'm trying to get at in an unclear sort of way I guess. That people don't bother using their single vote wisely sometimes. Yea I get that sometimes you're on a bandwagon and trying to get info, but unless someone pointed out that their 100% scum or at least pretty close, they should have something to say in why they believe you are. Even a one line post would be more than saying up front you don't wanna say what others have said. Hell, it'd be useful if you did say what others have said, I can guarantee that your point of view is not exactly the same as another person's view, so give a bit of your own insight on things.

Sorry about being inactive, but my semester is winding down and finals are next week (oh Joy...). Since this has been day 1 I decided to put this mafia on the backburner for a few days to get some studying done.

But I have caught up. To start I find it a little suspicious that Doom outed himself to save Jak especially since it was so early on. I also wasn't on that wagon reading through the posts today. Yes he was all over the place with a few things, but in the past he has been a very good scum hunter and I don't want to loose him on day 1. I believe that their is a very strong chance for a masoned group in this game.

I do agree with pressuring the inactives a bit, and don't have any issue with you guys putting some pressure on me. If I were active I would have agreed with Jak earlier to help get some more opinions in the game.

@ Some7thing I am not sure if you have played any games with jonty, but he has a nack for posting mainly 1 liners (if I remember right someone built a case on him for it).

Unvote since my vote was just a joke vote anyway.

I am not sure how I am liking Neb's play at this point since he has been very harsh on people who were on his BW early. I am not sure if I believe his VT claim since it could cover up so many roles, and requires so little to prove. But I am willing to put it off to the side for now, we may be able to get some more info later depending on how he plays it out.

I will try to stay on top of this for the next week or so, but no guarantees with finals right around the corner. I also don't really want to be replaced since I will have time once finals are over with.
