Depends on the numbers...If your attack is lower than his defense, yeah it's a suicide and it's annoying.

Yes, you can suicide in assassin games! He didn't suicide though. Suiciding in Assassin is done by taking out the wrong target. This is so annoying because not only do you take your own life you also take out several others. It's the CC version of suicide bombers.

Not always.
If you have 30% chance (than you attack is clearly lower than his defence) to win a battle that leads to the match in a 6 player game, I would always take that chance.

I don't know what red was claiming. You were eliminated but the only person who conquered one of his regions was pink. Did you attack red and fail to conquer a region? If so, then it is perhaps a valid label. If not, perhaps red saw red and ignored the fact that you had not attacked. That was an extremely short game, and I probably would not have been happy that it ended so soon either, but that is what he gets for starting a 6-player assassin game on such a small map.

I would consider a player irresponsibly thinning themselves out and making themselves an easy target to be suicide too.

I'm using a loose definition of suicide to mean guaranteeing your own death/loss by your own reckless play and poor decisions.
