Fucking a. Literally just started watching the game and Harper was up in the 8th. Got jammed, blooped it over the shortstop, hustled and turned it into a double.
1) He had a ridiculous lead on that steal of home. Must have been his secondary and they don't show where he is originally, but jesus.
2) He plays LF right now. He can play CF because he's athletic enough. I don't think he can read and knows the position as well as Ankiel though. Ankiel should stay in CF. He also has a cannon. We were hoping to get a new CF through trade or FA, as it's one of our few weak positions. And I use weak in the sense that we don't have anyone young developing there at all as backup. Lombardozzi fills in the infield, Morse at 1B, Tyler Moore at 1B/LF.
3) Werth is injured, dunno for how long, but he wasn't producing anyway. Move Ankiel to RF (counter to what I said before, but he's used to moving around, Harper hasn't played there at all), Harper to CF, Moore to LF, things are good.
4) Again, run production was our problem, and a meltdown by the bullpen (like only the 2nd or 3rd time at most so far this year, which is good). Would we have won if it were 3-0 or 4-0 prior to Pences first HR? Or if we were only down 3-2 or tied 3-3 going into those last 3 innings? Maybe, but you can't look back in a 162 game season.
Yeah but ZImmerman and Morse will be back for June for sure. The Nats should not have much trouble producing runs when you have all those guys healthy.

I hope so.
Desmond had a sweet triple tonight. He's been crushing balls.
And Schilling is right, hit the guy, get hit back, and when asked just say you lost control of the ball with a little smile, everybody will know, and it will be ok.
Why would he go on an say it? People is over sensitive nowadays, Schilling himself, saying he could've hit him in the head?
