Nice Idea if that isn't too much to organize for a first time tourney coordinator.Swifte wrote:Go with 64 players thenNight Strike wrote:A tournament has to have a minimum of 16 players.8 games of 8... then an 8 player finals!

It shouldn't be that bad, as long as you do the games in either sets of 2, or so. That way you don't kill yourself with sending out invites, and such.RobbieDub wrote:Nice Idea if that isn't too much to organize for a first time tourney coordinator.Swifte wrote:Go with 64 players thenNight Strike wrote:A tournament has to have a minimum of 16 players.8 games of 8... then an 8 player finals!

You don't have to send invites. You can send game links and tell them to join the games themselves. That's what I would do for a tournament like this.skillfusniper33 wrote:It shouldn't be that bad, as long as you do the games in either sets of 2, or so. Code: Select all
[to]GAME# PASSWORD[/to]
You don't have to use all the maps either.greenoaks wrote:you should also explain upfront what happens if there is a tie for first in a group.
A Series of 5's would be easier for you to start with as you'll only need 25 players and they'd each play only 5 games so you could send them all at once.
Maps with 5 starting terits for 5 players are:
All Your Base Are Belong To Us
Celtic Nations
Das Schloss
Egypt: Upper
Greater China
San Marino
unfortunately there are 6 maps, not 5
