You missed some great hockey from both teams & goalies,
maybe even the best of these playoffs so far.

Another road win for the Kings... unreal.

TeamofDestiny.com is already registered to the owners of the LA Kings

Or maybe the guy who bought the New Orleans Hornets who "happened" to get the first overall pick in the draft and who "happened" to not get stuck with a Pau Gasol sized contract, among other things, registered that domain name.

Yes, I am saying the NBA is rigged. It's really stupid. Refs make ridiculous calls to decide games, the league chooses who they want to win the draft lottery, the championship, etc.

Not that I don't enjoy watching NBA athleticism.

Back to hockey. Anze Kopitar was my favorite non-capitals player in NHL 08.

hahaha I was just going to make a thread titled "ITT: your favorite conspiracies" and make "NBA is rigged" my number 1.

Seriously, it's ridiculous. Like people argue that the league didn't call the foul yesterday on Rondo because the league wants Miami to win a championship. Two problems with that: (1) if the league wanted Miami to win, why didn't they give them the win last year? and (2) why in God's sakes would the league want the Heat, who the majority of the fans HATE because of what Lebron, Wade and Bosh did last year, to advance instead of the Celtics, arguably the greatest franchise in the history of the league?

Ridiculous...

Yea, I think what Stern did with the Paul trade was stupid, but just because the Hornets (who had a 13% chance at winning the lottery, which isn't bad) get the first pick doesn't mean it's all rigged.

so much tinfoil hat going on

This game looks like it's going to another OT.

I'm curious, has there been a team in the SC playoffs to sweep every round? If not, and if the Kings are able to win the Cup in 4 or 5 games, this should probably be considered the greatest playoff run ever.

hm, never mind. Just looked it up and there are two teams ('52 Red Wings and '60 Habs) that won every game. Those obviously weren't 16 win playoffs though (both were 8 wins in 8 games).

f*ck, Kings are yet to lose a road game.

It's hard to think they won't win the cup.

I think the Oilers went 15-2 or 16-2 back in the 80's (the first round of the playoff used to be a best of 5, thus the 15 win mark). So if the Kings sweep, they would match that feat. Which is pretty amazing.

Kings already tied the record for most road wins in the playoffs. A record the Devils held.

It is looking grim. The Devils have lost two - now lets see if they've got what it takes, tonight. :)

I managed to catch the end of Regulation and Overtime. I usually don't cheer for teams from either Los Angeles or New Jersey, but I decided to keep rooting for LA since they are the 8 seed.

KINGS win in LA 4-0 and I don't expect a Devils comeback from 3-0.

Considering the how on-fucking-fire the Kings are right now, it would probably be the greatest comeback in the history of sports if the Devils pulled it off.

Just watching the game, you could see the Devils were severely outmatched. They were like what, 0 for 6 on the powerplay (even when they had that 5 on 3 for a minute or so) while the Kings scored on their first two powerplays late in the game. Brodeur was pretty off all game and when you're facing Quick in these playoffs, you have to be perfect.

I tuned into the game during the 3rd Period, and was surprised to see it 4-0, since the previous games were much closer.

Ouch for NJ.

Hell... the Devils played really well on their home ice and just couldn't get a win.
LA was awesome in game 3. Jonathan Quick is a prime MVP candidate.

In 2011 both teams won all their home games, the Bruins took Game 7 in Vancouver.
The only away win of the Finals.

I knew the Kings would win as soon as the devils eliminated the Rangers. Had a gut feeling the only team that could possibly stop the Kings would be the Rangers.

I reckon the Kings will win the cup and LA sports fans will barely even blink an eye.

actually, people here are going cup crazy, now that they know the kings have never won it, and ever since the lakers and clippers got eliminated from the NBA playoffs.

I was kind of annoyed when the Kings fans did their "Marty" chant after the second and so on goals.

Seriously, Brodeur has more cups than you even if you win this year. It's like Jeter or Kobe, they're really just playing for shits and giggles now. Have some god damn humility.

If the Kjngs do sweep the Devils it certainly isn't Brodeur's fault.
There's been many times in this series when his goal tending is
what kept it close.

Kings fans have been doing that to just about every goalie in every game for years. I head to a few of their games a year and have heard it in every single one when the Kings score a goal.

Nothing new or special for Brodeur.

I know it's nothing special, and it's nothing against Kings fans specifically because I said the same thing about the Rangers fans when they did it in the last series, but I just find it highly annoying.

Like how I went to a Rangers/Pens game earlier this year and the crowd was chanting "Crosby sucks". I could see people making fun of Crosby for being a pussy (though I do not consider him a pussy) but sucks? Really?

Sports fans in general are annoying. The half-brained drunken idiots who only give a shit when their home team is doing well. The same ones that get in fights after the game with opposing fans or the stupid Vancouverians that riot after their team sucks a giant dick in teh cup finals.
