I thought his claim actually makes sense. "She's" the "program" child of two other "programs." Innocent, so to say, of the dealings with anything going on in the Matrix. It's a bit of a stretch, and hider would have made more sense (to me.), but I can buy that Sati would be a "priest" who is unable to hammer anyone, being that "she" is a newly created program without much ability to control anything.pmchugh wrote:Wait a minute, why the hell is everywheres character a priest? There are a lot of main characters so far who have been VTs yet some random girl has a power? What did she even do in the films? I am not buying this one.

good point. it does seem to make sense but is still a little sketchy. ill buy it for now though.Nebuchadnezer wrote:I thought his claim actually makes sense. That's where you're wrong Vodean. We are nothing alike. I'll pressure people and work on cases, but I will not call pretty much half the players scum and then try to cover it up when you get called on it. So no, we are nothing alike Vodean.vodean wrote:when anyone other than trinity and neo play like that, they get a BW on them... id say that you are playing the same way you are accusing me of playing, and then saying that only i should be pressured.jak111 wrote:Fair enough. That's when townies start helping scum without meaning to. I know my methods aren't the best, but they provide results when given the chance.
I don't mind anyone questioning people... just so long as the questions are sensible and useful, and have not yet been answered already. I also hope that you realise that you're not the only player in this game; in that respect, IB might have a point about the control-freak thing. Don't let me stop you, just let me play along
The way you have described it makes her sound like a third party survivor rather than town.Nebuchadnezer wrote:I thought his claim actually makes sense. its cause the sg7 case holds no water you cant push a case at someone and expect it to grow...at least not into a good one. i think me and vodean are done arguing. but your right what is the use of a priest role. i have never seen it and the only time i have was in RT game and new guy made it up and it was completly different.betiko wrote:people can we stop fighting over stupid things...
ok right now i really want to hear from saf. his last votecount was full of mistakes and i m not even sure he followed what was going on. it seems quite unlikely, but maybe he missed that everywhere's would ve been a hammer vote.
Also, i'm not familiar with the priest role and all the variants possible. or eventual variants of this role that could be evil.
what's the use of this role anyway? that when it seems like someone will get lynched and he voted for that person, everyone gets the surprise to see he is still alive?
secondly, i don't know, i think we did enough for today and i am in favour of lynching clever because his attitude is somewhat fishy. I think there are slightly more chances that he is town, but he is definitely the scummiest vt. and a vt claim is the easiest thing a mafia can hide behind. i need to see a correct votecount, i think he is really close from a lynch. (i think no one is following my sg7 lead anymore so will just try again tomorrow if i m still here)
and again, i agree with chuck about ghostly and leehar, both are just completely absent.

Safari is the last guy who would make a mistake running a game. If he has I would be very surprised.betiko wrote:people can we stop fighting over stupid things...

There has never been a scum who cannot hammer in a game I have played a far as I know. The issue is it gives them a proven "town" role with no night action. It can be used as a modifier to a powerful scum role, but again, I have never seen it. Props for looking it up though, most the people who were unfamiliar didn't feel like it.thechuck51 wrote:according to mafiascum "there's no real reason a Priest necessarily has to be Town." Regarding the vote count, I just want clarification from saf because the latest vote count still had both hippo and I voting SG7 when we had both voted everywhere. If those votes weren't counted than everywhere was never at L-1 and never self hammered to prove his priest claim.

I don't think I really understood the movies beyond the first one. I thought the scum were the machines and the people of Zion would be town, were they not at war?edocsil wrote:Sati is one of the main characters in the movie. "The machines" is just the sentinels sitting at the surface of the planet. Sati is not a machine, however; she is a program. A code. Just like Seraph, or the Oracle. Watch the third (or second?) movie again, Neo will ask exactly your question: "I suppose the most obvious question is, how can I trust you?" Obviously the Oracle answers with the most ambiguous quote of the movie...I don't think I really understood the movies beyond the first one. Also, programs aren't necessarily agents. Otherwise The Oracle would've changed into an agent when Neo first came walking in there and shot him at the spot.Bingo. It is a pickle. No doubt about it. The bad news is there's no way if you can really know whether I'm here to help you or not, so it's really up to you. You just have to make up you on damned mind to either accept what I'm going to tell you, or reject it.

With 20 alive, it takes 11 to lynch.
Apologies for the vote count mistakes, but I did see everywhere's vote. Will not say more for fear of unduly influencing the game.
Will prod Leehar and ghostly.
OK I will take your word for it, even if I am much more confused about the films than before. Beyond the first they weren't really interesting enough to watch again, which is probably why I have forgot all this. unvoteaage wrote:Seconded.edocsil wrote:Sati is one of the main characters in the movie. There is no point in lynching a proven priest role now; as Edoc already mentioned, statistically he's a 90% towny while the rest of us are about 70-65% towny (taking all the claims into account). He has proven the priest role, and I don't see why you would not believe him and do believe all the VT claims.

Lastly, if there is a third party survivor, it is probably the Merovingian. Edoc'sil might remember why.
ok i was willing to move past the vodean case. but this just doesnt sit right. i even misread it but admited to it. to think it was a typo is absurd. unvote vote vodeanjonty125 wrote:Erm, my vote is listed twice on this vote count (and the previous)safariguy5 wrote:Vote Count

Anyway, I'm going to unvote vote vodean for the denying the typo incident.
This is leaving second thoughts. I hate to waste time, but could we quickly try the self hammer again? I am concerned we have missed something.
