This is only a quick draft for discussion, nothing brilliant graphically of course.

Many characters have ficticuous names for copyright reasons.
Using original tale names might not work with everyone for identification reasons.
Characters here present:
* Snow white and seven dawrfs, prince and huntsman
* Cinderella and ugly step sisters
* Billy goats gruff and the trolls - Norweignen
* Rapunzel and her prince
* Red Riding hood
* Hansel and Gretel
* Three Little Pigs

Initial impressions. This looks sugar coated like the Disney versions of the stories. Think of the original tales and how dark and nasty they where.

I am pretty sure none of the names are copyrighted, but you seem to of gone with a mix of the stories and made up ones. Either or would be good.

But either way, it might be fun.

i think you've had too much pink icing...sugar coated Disney versions indeed, they are copyrighted names etc, so that's why one can't use those names, but i can assure you there is nothing made up about these fairy tale characters except for the 8 fairies at the top, which is a gameplay thing for bombarding evil, which might not work yet.

You can't copyright something that's already in the public domain - if a disney character is based on a story that's written in the 17th century, there's no way in hell they can copyright it.

I mean, they can copyright their individual interpretation of it, for example they can copyright their version of the character Cinderella, but not the name Cinderella itself, or the actual, original Cinderella character.

So go ahead and use those original names.

Go with it, but here is a thought for you, I know this might be slightly different from what you have done in the past, but if you do go ahead with this, I feel it might work if you try and get a Disney feel and look to it. Not a over the top happy feely map, but one of the older cartoons (Sleeping Beauty or Pinnichio) look to it. If not, go dark and nasty.

But it is a project that might be worth persueing.
