It seems we have gotten stuck in a doldrum here and have no movement. We have two claims stating that Safari and Clever are town. Vodean is clear to me so where do we go from here I guess is the question.

I'm still suspicious of clever's claim, it seems a odd fit for the god, but with no counterclaims, I don't think we can hang him.

I specified the question but you are correct there could be a third party involvement but either way there is something up with one of them. Clever appears to be the more dangerous of the two but also the most far fetched. I guess need to disect their claims.

Especially with a vig going around for town, one false move and boom, town's screwed. The balance just doesn't seem right.
And on the other hand, we have a watcher, a more common role, with a much weaker flavor.

I did think that saf was suspicious, but since im under the impression that mafia targeted saf, id say clever's role is fake, and just trying to scare us. it IS rather outlandish.

If you think that Clever might be telling the truth, Saf is still the way to go. If Saf is lying, we lynch a scum and we're cool. If he's telling the truth, Clever ends up with a hammer in his face (be it Thor's or the lynch wagon's). At the same time there's no risk of having an inordinately long night (or if there is, it exists regardless).

So Saf's case boils down to pushiness and a funky claim. I hate to rely solely on the claim; playing the mod can be dangerous, but I'm not altogether opposed, I guess. I'd have to think about it some more.

I did re-read in order to contribute something else, just 'cuz I'm a nice guy. Following are some things that tripped me up a bit in hindsight. It's hard to gauge how important Jonty's role was since we don't know what he enabled; but I'm willing to bet it was potent enough.

I don't really see it, I've read through the last few pages a few times, can you explain better how jonty's posts incite the situation?

Here is a slight defense of jonty; admittedly nothing too much since at this point the worst he had done was force vodean to claim by bringing the VC to L-2 iirc. So, valid conversation point with djfireside or subtle defense early on to save jonty? Hard to say.

Well, there was the matter of him and jonty defending each other.

I was commenting that Clever was defending Jonty yesterday, in response to you saying there is no case on clever.
But voted Saf based on the scene and info we have.

Here / seems to have adopted a confirmed (dead) townie's legacy and brings attention to a dying man's wishes in the form of a case against Clever. Could be slightly scummy, could be innocent. He proceeds full bore on a case against Clever.

Vodean/Safari thing is going too far. Way too far.

Cause..And I hate to do this..it's the only way to go until deadline. He did defend everything that has said against him, and he admitted he pushed Vodean a bit too much. But he did ''ask'' thor to counter claim, which he didn't -and shouldn't have-.

I saw this post by freezie similar in tone to what I read in /'s; could be an avoidance of jonty's case. Both / and freezie do hop on at the end of the lynch when jonty claims Ve; perhaps abandoning a sinking ship? So I'll FOS: / and freezie/chap. Maybe some candidates for whoever has inno powers tonight.

In fact, DJ has now claimed one of the two of you is a liar, unless you doubt his power there is no reason for you to even slightly trust clever now, unless you know the liar is yourself.

Same goes for clever.

That is part of my problem with Saf's claim. The flavor is very thin and and very odd. I don't know how much I really want to gamble here.
