Nevertheless, apart from some of the objections above here's my most urgent complaints

No Rocky Horror?
No Princess bride?
No 2001?
No Greystoke?
I love Rocky Horror and Princess Bride but neither belong on here. 2001 definitely belongs though.

Psycho probably needs to be on and Life of Brian or Holy Grail should be.

Just known for the Pink Panther really :). But boy are those hilarious movies. I downloaded them quite recently. Still funny even after 50 years. Will we be able to say the same about any movie with Adam Sandler or Chris Rock? Don't think so. Mr Bean however.........

If you like Rowan Atkinson, give Blackadder a go at some point, but start with season 2. Nobody likes season 1.

Alot of great suggestions are being made for the list. I'm taking the final list quite seriously and there's alot of things to consider when putting it together. It is quite the daunting task believe it or not. Anyway, the list does have a tad bit of a ways to go. And 2001 is over rated.

I think a lot of people vastly under-rate it. I'm biased, but for me (with my peculair personal tastes) it's one of the three greatest films I ever saw.
It's also the only one I saw more tha ten times in a cinema, rather than via a smaller screen.
I also once saw it in "cinemascope', which is sort of a letter box version of Imax.
I almost forgot to pick up my jaw before I left the theatre.

That's nice that you enjoy the film that much and very interesting as well. I give the film 3 and half out of four stars. Maybe try watching it without the Vogner I think it is with the monkey dudes or better yet mabye just watch the monkey dudes with the Vogner a whole bunch of times or both. Yeah, it's a great film. I mention that it's over rated because it's still great It just had flaws in it for me.

I mean Strauss. Vogner? I think maybe I meant Wagner. Anyway, as if I needed any more help sounding like an idiot.

I think right now it's Top 100 greatest films I've actually seen (Work In Progress).

Great train robbery deserves another look. The rest of your film suggestion, though some of the films aren't bad... definiely 3.5 of 4 starers...

That Deer Hunter 2015, that's the target date for the release. Look for it in theatres everywhere. Seriously, it will or would go from just missing the list to top 75 or 50. Editing's important. I could probably do the same with 16 Candles, a few other films as well.

From what I've read on Avatar, the story is basically Ferngully, but with giant smurfs instead of fairies. Meaning that other than graphics, it's just not that good.

nietzsche wrote:Shawshank Redemption is one of those movies that I wished it was not in my top favorites. But every time I watch it I say to myself that this is if not the best, one of the top 5, or top 3 movies of all time.

Also, I hate Andy here, so it sucks that he chose his name from that movie.

Does anyone feel that way? I wished that I could say Pulp Fiction or The Godfather I & II were better than Shawshank Redemption.

Did I miss The Matrix on this list?

Some others that need to be added.

Goonies
Tombstone
Breakfast Club
Reservoir Dogs

Sure I could think of some more.

We got someone taking some liberties with my list and it doesn't show up on the edit count. I'll just leave it at that until I know for certain who it is. I did express a sincere desire in ONE person taking those liberties.

I often catch myself reflecting on some of the more memorable and hillarious moments of Happy Gilmore and then realizing, "Oh wait, that was Billy Madison." Both great films.

That is shocking, shocking behaviour. Although the title of the Hot, Sexy Rank thread did get edited by mods so that homosexual men couldn't enjoy it equally.

Alright, let's stop messin' with the list. Someone did a few things at one point that I liked and some other minor things that I changed but in recent months just effin' up the program. Let me finish it and then Odin can have his way with it.
