You didn't come up with any actual evidence supporting the contrary while another player submitted the fact that it is indeed in the written rules of a road race. While this has yet to be proven, its at least specific information.
My analogy was legitimate however in its essence. There are indeed situations where a rule is not directly stated in a "rule book" but is still cheating regardless.
Why do you have to lose it just when its starting to get fun, Woodruff? I thought you were built of stronger stuff than that.
