I'd like to know why he had 5 swords in his room. Sounds a bit excessive to have 5.

Two sources close to the case said it’s questionable whether the swords were usable as weapons, indicating they may have been decorative.

Dude, I've only dreamed of playing games like counter-strike or halo with a map fashioned after a school or other publicy places. They took this way too far.

Hang on guys...

We wage war accross maps of our countries, a university... maps of states are very common in the Foundry...

Is this any different?

Plus, I love swords. When I have the cash to seek out some good examples I hope to build a collection (although I am a medievalist so I suppose its allowed :D )

I have a sword too. (And blowdarts.)

I don't go around killing people though.

I use my axe for that.

So he made a CS map based on the school he went to. So what? I know a guy who made a CS map of the school he went to, and we complained that he had got the proportions wrong...

I don't understand the desire to own weapons. Yes I can appreciate a beautiful sword. I can look at pikes and halberds and imagine what it would have been like to hold a line with one or the devestation it could cause in the right hands but I don't see any lure to make someone want to own one. It is useless.

(on the subject of the topic in general, not swords)

ah yes, the idea that pissing people off and putting them in horrible situations will keep them from killing you. I mean, who WOULDN'T want to use that idea?
