Battle Royale

I was wondering if there will be another map on Battle Royale.

i have played a few large maps that would be great fun to have lots of players in. E.g. World 2.1, Fractured China. and i saw a map call New World Americas... why is there no other map choice? the one thats chosen looks real confusing.

The battle royal map was specially created to forgo such epic games as where everybody got nuked who took their turn(this really happened). It was made to give everybody 2 spot on a map so suiciders have less chance of killing high rankers (less, not none) it is unknown to me if there is a new map underway, but it does not look like something will appear on short notice.
a regular map does not give 2 starting locations, nor does it ensure these are not right side by side.

But it would be a hell of a struggle and an epic "Battle Royale" for the winner if the game didn't have a turn limit...although that could mean it went on for even longer than it does now of course...but still fun to have it in your list of Active Games...

Game 11603837has no turnlimit and yes, its in my list of active games for a while now....

getting to conqueror based on one game.... there are lots of things wrong with that, but ill leave it there....

I've heard this said before, but it's still just as wrong as the first time I heard it.

Beating 51 people @ an average of 20 points each wouldn't make anyone Conqueror, unless they were already close to that rank.

1020 points would make me just barely a colonel. Barely.

It would make a Major out of a Private First Class. Big deal.

It would make a Major into a borderline Brigadier, as happened with QoH when he won his great Battle Royale. That's probably the biggest gain possible.

A Field Marshall would probably make Conqeror if he won a BR, but he wouldn't be scoring 20 points per opponent. He'd probably be scoring 6 or 7 points per opponent, and would probably rise from 4600 points to about 4900 or 4950. So why shouldn't he? It's a big accomplishment to win a BR, and 350 points is not exactly life changing.

I'm told that it did happen, once upon a time in the early days of CC, that a player rose to Conqueror on the strength of a BR win. Once.... and that was before the 100-point limit. It's very misleading to frighten people with this buggaboo that Standard BR's are going to destabilize the scoreboard. It just isn't true.

let us assume a cook will win, just to entertain the idea.
The current leaderboard gives 4741 as the pointscore for the (two) highest players.
52 players, lets say you need 4000 points to win, thats about 80 per player.
assuming you have a 700 ranking due to lots of doodle ass freestyles (which you suck at, like me...) then i still need to win against an average player rank of 2800 points. Highly unlikely, just as you said.
equally unlikely as me winning a br.
but the problem is, someone WILL win the br eventually. and that person will get a win boost of 52 times the average pointrank / his own x 20= lots of points.

ofcourse if i intentionally would risk more and more points so just happen to end with a lower pointscore, then convevebly i could end up with a fair boost to my score.
i can cry wolf on the outside chance, but i do recognize its...hopefully rare.
