- It's a 4-tourney series, but feel free to play each tournament on itself as well
The Four Hills Tournament Series:
The Four Hills Tournament (
German: Vierschanzentournee) is composed of four Ski Jumping World Cup events and has taken place in Germany and Austria each year since 1952. Whether you are a manic ski jumping fan or not, at least it suits pretty well as a tournament series theme.
There will be a total ranking for the Series, grab points per tournament in the following order:
[*]Winner 20
[*]Finalist 15
[*]Bronze 11
[*]4th place 9
[*]Quarters 5
[*]Eights 2
Brackets will be filled random with
Challonge! After the first tournament, seeding based upon the tournament ranking will be applied. In case of a draw on tournament ranking, highest CC-ranked player will prevail. In every tournament the top 48 of the Series Ranking will be admitted if signing-up.

Seperate Tournament set-up:
For the CC-version, this series will consist of 4 seperate tournaments, all are single elimination with a 64-player bracket max. Players choose their own map and setting per tournament, not allowing trench, manual and freestyle. Every tournament will have it's own tie-breaker map in case of a draw. Opening rounds and bronze medal match will be a best-of-5, from the quarters on it will be best-of-7. In every round you will play 2 or 3 games on your home map and the same number of games on your opponents map.
Game load:
All games in one round will be sent out at once, hence no freemiums. On the slowest this will happen once a week, if possible I'll try to speeden up. However, If you choose settings which imply your home games last way longer than a week, be prepared for stock-piling... There will be a Round Limit of 30, hitting the limit means a 'no score draw' for the tournament. A re-match will take place under the tie-break conditions. In other words: you loose your home advantage if you do not take the game down within the round limit.
The Four Tournaments:
Oberstdorf (tie-break map: Germany, esc, fog, unl.)
Garmisch-Partenkirchen (tie-break map: to be announced, esc, fog, unl.)
Innsbruck (tie-break map: t.b.a., esc, fog, unl.)
Bischofshofen (tie-break map: t.b.a., esc, fog, unl.)
Oberstdorf is now open for registration, the following tournaments will open in 2-4 weeks sequentially
- Tournament 1/4: OBERSTDORF
HIGHLIGHTS: (for details read above)
- 1v1, choose your own map & settings
- Single knock-out, best of 5/7
- No freemiums (games will be sent out in batches of 5/7)
Some further details:
- Not accepting a game within 24 hours will result in a yellow card. The first two have no consequence, from the third on every yellow card will result in a straight loss for the game(s) involved.
- All games will have a Round Limit of 30 to ensure tournament progress.
- Fog of War-courtesy will not be applied
- In any case of dispute, my wisdom will decide.
- I've got a very short foe list, don't bother signing up if you are on it...
