From those of you who play, is it worth to get this as a digital stocking stuffer while the deal is around (offer ends November 27th). And what do you enjoy most about playing...and what do you think a newcomer would enjoy?Sid Meier's Civilization® V: Game of the Year
Includes the Following Civilization V content:
All 4 Cradle of Civilization Map Packs (Mediterranean, Asia, Americas, Mesopotamia)
Civilization Pack: Babylon (Nebuchadnezzar II)
Double Civilization and Scenario Pack: Spain and Inca
Civilization and Scenario Pack: Polynesia
Civilization and Scenario Pack: Denmark - The Vikings
Explorer’s Map Pack
Civilization 5 is not my favorite in the series, but it is very good. I enjoy attempting to win in ways other than conquering other nations and I'm big into building an interconnected empire. If I do go to war, I try to do so late in the game (like WWI/WWII era units). In any event, you can play the game without knowing too much about the ins and outs and I would recommend reading the manual AND going through the tutorials.AndyDufresne wrote:Over the years, I've known a fair number of people who got into the Civ installments, but I never seemed to stumble into it. I was browsing some Steam deals and noticed Civ 5 on sale, plus some add-ons, for $25.00

Just got an Xbox 360 at my company Christmas party, and Skyrim came in the bundle. Only just started playing it last Saturday, but already I'm addicted. Such an awesome game.thegreekdog wrote:I've started playing Skyrim again. Started over. Because I'm a glutton.

New DLC Dragonborn adds a TON of stuff and areas to explore. A pretty cool DLC. But once you get past level 45, the grinding to keep leveling is a pain at times.Serbia wrote:Just got an Xbox 360 at my company Christmas party, and Skyrim came in the bundle.
