You can do that, but in R your town will automatically follow you. If everyone put their votes in random.org we would be unlikely to lynch at all. Fortunately, minority also means a lynch in this setup... But you know very well that R is not the same as blind mafia. I could eliminate any knowledge of me being SK by having my sister do the random.org target and pm and play as if I were town.
Why would I want to play a game where I can win 100% with a strategy that players are too obstinate to use, or ~100% lose because I have no information whatsoever to base my lynches on?
See Quantum Werewolf for an experiment very similar to this. However, the creator realized the importance of a cop if there are no hints about the scum.
It's a prisoner's dilemma. If the rest of the town plays according to your strategy, I can increase my personal winning odds by lying to town in order to determine if I am the serial killer. If the rest of town lies, I have no interest in playing along as that would put me in a position of disadvantage.
So there you have it. And sign up already.
Now the second option. Let's all just random.org our lynches everyday and random target at night. I can do that in R without needing to play mafia.
You know why we disagree? You disregard the possibility that you are an SK entirely.
