i threw one game and that was when he had 800 score!!!! how does one come up with the idea that we did it intending to "steal" points from other players : / with his newly acquired 780 score!?

the only reason i "threw" that game was because sim thought we were just being embarressed vs our friends so we threw it to say we threw it : /

!?!? why dont you ban every one of those noob bashers who call themselves players???!?! they by far are doing something that i consider wrong and nothing is said about them ever.

if they are going to ban people from playing with players who are lower ranked than them then when you have players that suck as much as the people lower than 400 score

everyone they play with should be banned... infact why dont we ban them since its THEIR fault

Oh I see, it all makes sense now. It's ok to manipulate the system to stop you from losing many points, but it's not ok to manipulate the system to help you win many points. But that doesn't explain why you've acted in a way that doesn't actually punish Simtom for the thing he did which was wrong. Acting instead in a way that punishes him for using the system in an honest and rule-abiding fashion with an acquaintance of his. A point which you seem to be either missing, or attempting to avoid.
No you don't have to act immediately; but you ought to be acting in a way that actually punishes the 'offence', rather than just slinging a random sanction around in order to appease 'score-junkies'.
C'mon, admit it, this is a total bodge on your part, in order to prevent anybody from profiting from an earlier error of your judgement. It's not punishing Sim for what he did, it's just trying to limit the damage of what you did.
You're a big girl now wicked, just because you're a mod doesn't mean you can't admit that you get it wrong sometimes. Like you did with the whole 'Simtom issue'.

Pass admitted it in chat, where I verified it was actually him by a RT game he was joining, and by his other interactions in chat.

They can appeal this decision via the contact form.

The way it looks to me is, they've applied the punishment used on those suspected of a secret alliance. Since lack refuses to read pms, there's often not a real way to "prove" a secret alliance beyond a series of connected individual acts, e.g. borders left open, a single player being attacked without strategic cause...

What's come up here is a similar sequence of events that on their own don't amount to much. 1) simtom attempts to plummet to 0 points, 2) passispaws admits to throwing a game for simtom, mods claim to have admission that he did it to help simtom reach bottom, 3) upon reaching bottom, simtom begins to play doubles with his friend passispaws, 4) simtom posts celebratory comments about how his extreme low score has aided passispaws to gain more points.

There's no smoking gun here, just individual events that add up to suspicion, and many people in this thread have agreed that it is suspicious, and clearly the mods are on board with that. They can appeal, it's hardly case closed, what's the big deal?

lol all the admins have to do is check the ips... he'll see that i'm from london and pass is from the US, so no multi.

We only play team games together so no secret alliance.

and I'm not deliberately lowering my score to help pass get his higher... lol he can get higher than his rate on his own if he wants

yeah i just started to attack with 3 armies vs 1 again :p and i went of vacation with about 80 terminator games going -.- but if i really wanted to get my rank up i would take this game seriously but its just somthing to do for fun

which isnt so fun now that i dont have any doubles partners -.-,

actually - simtom has a reasonable amount of points now. I don't think he should be blocked from playing doubles with anyone else.

I don't think its ethical but perhaps its an opposite strategy..... by lowering his score he will gain more for a certain amount of time if he continues to win. Once it gets high enough for it not to be as affective then it won't be an issue anymore.

Is it cheating if a player looses singles games on purpose; then joins doubles games and plays for real to help his friend get twice the points.
