Yeah, I agree that PS loves being vague, and his ambiguity helps explain 90% of the reactions ITT.muy_thaiguy wrote:Police are telling citizens to stay inside for a reason. But the way scotty is wording it, it certainly gives one the impression he wants the people of Watertown to go around town with guns, which would probably result in some poor soul getting shot for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Over the past 10,000 years, it's been getting better.Arama86n wrote:Where's Denny Crane when you need him
Denny would sort these fools out before breakfast, and still have time to impregnate three women, and end global warming.
Blowing shit up in HIS city? oh no they didn't.
On a more serious note, what a f*cked up place this world is
Not even just the police are saying it - it's the Governor and other state officials of Massachusetts. The entire city is in a lockdown.muy_thaiguy wrote:Police are telling citizens to stay inside for a reason. If they protect themselves in their own homes, that's one thing. Let the police, feds, and others whose job it is, to find this guy. In the meantime, everyone else should follow the police chief's advice and stay inside and lock up the doors and windows.

f*ck Denny Crane.Arama86n wrote:Where's Denny Crane when you need him

Aaand you're an idiot. Mexican Drug Cartels are about as destructive, if not more so, than terrorists in the Mid East, using similar tactics that terrorists do. Only difference is that they fight for drugs and money while the ones in Iraq and other countries in the Middle East do so for their perverted version of Islam.Jdsizzleslice wrote:Someone from Mexico has input about Terrorists? I knew I could count on you, or someone like you, to breathe some common sense into the situationjimboston wrote:I am not near the manhunt, but have family and friends right there.hotfire wrote:i hope he is just saying have a gun or baseball bat next to u while u sit and do whatever u do while ur kids watch sesame street in case someone busts open ur front door

If I were in my house anywhere near there I would certainly wish I had a gun... just in case.
The guy could be hiding in someone's garage or in some wooded area. It's not unreasonable to think he could/will break into a home and try to take a hostage. You are certainly better off in that situation if you have a gun AND know how to use it.
this, of course....hotfire wrote:i hope he is just saying have a gun or baseball bat next to u while u sit and do whatever u do while ur kids watch sesame street in case someone busts open ur front door
Sadly, this is actually what some thoughtless people think...yet I reason they only think that, because they are probably the ones who would go around shooting like that.2dimes wrote:Just because you have a fire arm and have it ready to use with the safety on does not mean you're running, driving or riding a bicycle around, shooting it at white hats.
Of course it's foolish for him to try to hide in a campus. NU-UH! What those guys are forgetting, even though I pointed it out twice, is that nobody can go outside. Certainly, I wasn't telling people to go outside!!!!! That's what the morons implied. I can see how that easily happens though when you are speaking from your gut without the aid of the brain. I think I even said 3 times about "Defending yourself" and I have never suggested to go out hunting or something like that. Only a moron could think of something like thatsaxitoxin wrote:I think that's spelled:hotfire wrote:i hope he is just saying have a gun or baseball bat next to u while u sit and do whatever u do while ur kids watch sesame street in case someone busts open ur front door
"to arms, to arms"
In PhatScottish, I believe:
"TO ARMS! TO ARMS!"
means "go racing out of the front door blasting everything that moves while singing the Battle Hymn of the Republic at the top of your lungs."

Nah, the reactions are based on the responder. For example: you will notice all the dummies think I said to go out hunting, all the gun owners understand that it means lock your doors, load your gun and keep it close, and get your game face on.BigBallinStalin wrote:Yeah, I agree that PS loves being vague, and his ambiguity helps explain 90% of the reactions ITT.muy_thaiguy wrote:Police are telling citizens to stay inside for a reason. OK, then that's a reasonable suggestion.Phatscotty wrote:NU-UH! What those guys are forgetting, even though I pointed it out twice, is that nobody can go outside. What is the reason the windows and doors should be locked?
Many ignore the consequences of US foreign policy, and at times blindly support it. Ignoring the costs while rooting for perceived benefits seems to have enabled US foreign policymakers to become more aggressive.nietzsche wrote:If you guys stopped pay attention to terrorists, they would stop.
