MapRank GL - New Version or Substitute?

Post by KingConan »

MapRank GL has been defunct or at least abandoned since last year. Is there someone taking over the reigns or that add-on to keep it current or, is someone developing a new add-on with similar features?

Although there are still some issues, Map Rank continues to be updated. The latest version is 1.5.5. At this time, notification that a new version is available may not be working properly. Click on the tiny version number next to the title of the Map Rank GL menu on the left, and that will take you to the Map Rank GL thread. In the first post, under Installation is a link you can click to install the latest version.

If you do not have Map Rank already, go to the Conquer Club User Guides. That is the best source of links and instructions for the most commonly used scripts. If you have it already, and want to reinstall, there is a tiny link next to the title of the Map Rank GL menu on the menu on the left of any CC page.

Well, MapRank for team games is not functioning properly!

Any idea if TechTeam will take over the update task?

I Map Ranked jricart from his profile page and saw a large number of wins and games overall. I then ran Map Rank from the Game Finder with Doubles selected and jricart as player 1. In that case, I saw considerably smaller numbers, so it would seem that the script is limiting the games somehow. I too am using Map Rank 1.5.5, Greasemonkey 0.9.20, Firefox 13.0.1 and Windows XP Pro, with all updates.

Most scripts are having difficulty because of this: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewto ... 1&t=191107

I didn't think Map Rank had been broken that long. There may be an outstanding issue related to Round Limits. I'm at work and can't check if that has been dealt with.

I'm using Chrome and I know MapRank hasn't been made for this browser, but using Tampermonkey it should work shouldn't it? At the moment it isn't.

Check again. Now that the Unplanned API Outage is fixed, things should be back to what they were not too long ago. If you are having problems under Chrome, I recommend uninstalling all scripts, installing Tampermonkey, and then reinstalling your scripts.

I don't recall precisely what it was in Map Rank that Chrome prevented, but the last time the author commented on this was prior to when I heard of Tampermonkey, so I don't know if it can help or not.

Thanks ender. I'm still have problems with various scripts even after the API outage has been resolved, namely I can only run Clickable Maps with BOB as all other scripts prevent it from working. I will try un-installing everything and installing again.

In some sense, it's just you. I can Map Rank myself by name from the left side menu, and I Map Ranked you from your profile. Both ran to 100% and brought up the table.

Not really, but it never hurts to clear your cache and try again.

Hmm, I was able to maprank myself thru my profile. Never knew that was an option actually. I only use map rank for the medal icons by enemies names. That should still update them I think? Thanks for your help.

EDIT- Yep, it works.

THANK YOU SO MUCH. :D Very helpful
