I just wanted to drop a final qwestion before I exile myself from the website for the second time.
Is there such thing as a friendly game? Answer: not on this website.
Just super-competive that becomes harassment, but harassment is OKAY on your website as long as they are the victor and follow the "rules".
there is more, a lot more, examples and evidences and a lot of bad feelings. I ASKED NICELY TO BE LEFT ALONE AND HE KEEPS MESSAGING ME. (o but there is a button you can push) BUT IT"S YOUR ENTIRE COMUNITY. gg? that is some weird twisted joke in here. no one plays a good-game, only to win. and cry when they lose. and when they win and don't get all 5 star ratings.
for so much potential...
in my experience, this is the WORST, the WORST gaming community on the planet, and I have run gaming conventions for 100s, 1000s over the years. and I saw a sign on the way out the door saying that this is the 'best' gaming community online. And it turned my stomach.

For all its flaws I would say CC has a very decent community overall. There are a few bad apples but they are few and far between in my experience. Competitive? Yes. Obnoxious? No.

I'd say most of my games are friendly matches, including clan games. For instance, the main purpose of the Society of the Cooks, CC's training academy, is to help players improve, but I've met a ton of cool people through the SoC. Then there are groups like the Friends of Elvis and Whom or What. There are plenty of friendly games on CC. I've found the community to be pretty rad, personally. =)

I had a friend that Shot at his fellow gamers (friends) while playing a Friendly game of risk I was there, (got knocked out early). They all ganged up on him, he walked in the bedroom and came out with a gun and shot two of them (fired all six rounds, only hit two of em).
I don't know who Won that game (maybe the players who did not get hit).

Sure, there are many players who feel, lying, cheating, backstabbing, and being a asshole is all part of the game.
If it works for them, why not run with it.
Risk is not for the timid.
If you can't handle it, then maybe you should go play something that suites your Ability.
There are Plenty of Euro games out there.

I do agree with you though. I think some of the high ranking pricks out there could be a bit nicer.
I have stated before, that CC has some of the craziest, silliest, hateful freaks, I have ever come across in the gaming world...I will fit in nicely.

What have you got? A bunch of lonely, underemployed, socially stilted/reclusive, autistic, obsessive, attention seeking, wilting daisies. Obviously only a couple of the afore mentioned list will apply to each player. There is a common thread linking all our lives. Something is missing, something that in another time we may have gotten from living in a village/close knit community. Some people are on site for social interaction, some are on site to feel better about themselves by BEATING others, some are on site to have something to do whilst they drink.....

Ask not why we play the game, ask what we are not doing because we are playing the game. That will give you an accurate measure of the man(or woman, or man pretending to be a woman)

While there is always competitiveness (as im sure everyone wants to win) there are many players who just enjoy playing and arent assholes.
