Thanks Andy and Mibi...sorry for being so long about updating this, but have had probs with computer and software caching.AndyDufresne wrote:I agree with Mibi here. This has definitely got the workings of a fine battle map, and long has.
This has been left same in V23legend. Of course, the use of the airplanes and ships are unique continent distinguishers...I like them. I'd be nice if we could pretty up the font on each, but I don't think there is ample room to do that.
Flags have been re-created from scratchAs for the flags, I like the idea, but perhaps not those graphics you have. Right now, you've got a very hand drawn effect on the map...take a look at the plane and ship icons, along with how the continent looks. The real graphic images of the flags seem to stick out a little. So perhaps if you found a graphic that reflected that some how, it could mesh it all a little more. Or you could also create your own flag files from scratch too!
Coloured hue and saturation altered to blue tinge. The battleship (I think it is, isn't it?) looks a little odd. I think it may be suffering from what the flags are, or something similar. Maybe look into a different style of image or perhaps simply playing with the color and hue and such.
The sea that was there was my own design. I have changed this and replaced it with the water psd from photoshop (same as in China map). I don't know if it works or not, but I would prefer to have my sea back.As for the sea, it is different, I'll give you that. I like the color, or something similar to it, but the current ripples I'm not sure about. But I'm not exactly sure what other textures you have that would look better!
Fonts have been enlarged 1 px from 10 to 11.The font for country names could be improved. Maybe with a touch of boldness? Or perhaps a slightly different font. I do like the current font, because it is easily read, but I think it could stand out a little more. And maybe be a little more eye appealing.

Also I ran a 60 day poll....and it seems not to have finished yet....should have finsihed around 2 May. Are we waiting for Lack?
Hulmey...thanks for feedback, but the sea links are integral to the entire operation. I'm afraid I can't remove them.hulmey wrote:i find it very difficult to see whats happening with all these sea links...is there anyway u could get rid of them?

thanks Wisse.Wisse wrote:great texturecairnswk wrote:Is there any more feedback on this map?

and about the poll, it won't dissapear other people can't vote on it anymore
i thought the first time that it would dissapear but it stands

pm keyogi or andy to remove the poll, so you can start a new one.cairnswk wrote:thanks Wisse.Wisse wrote:great texturecairnswk wrote:Is there any more feedback on this map?

Thanks Wisse. I'll fix that next post. The borders were dliberately made the same colour as the territories.Wisse wrote:the border on some army shades are blurred (like red, green) while some aren't (like yellow and orange) i prefer the yellow borders

Yes Gilliagn...if you check back starting on p2,3 etc you'll see that was one of the first thing discussed....and that continued right up to about 5-8 pages back. Have a look, and see if that satisfies your question.Gilligan wrote:I'm thinking that some of the colors are too close to each other. Have you tried different colors?
