Ok...A lot here, so let me cover them one at a time please...I have deleted some of the quotes from Leehar's original post.
As one of the co-founders of the SoC 1v1 Ladder
and the official record-keeper for all matches, I understand that I can and will be watched under a microscope at times. That's why I do my best to document everything so that my integrity would not come under fire.
Krag conceded our match on Oct. 22nd:
Kragomac wrote:I concede victory to celliottii. He has made a clean sweep and thoroughly trounced me. Two of the games are still going, but there is little doubt in the outcome. Well done my friend.
Krag
When the concession was made, I had already won the random map (
Game 13464294), the territory count was 193 to 4 in his home game (
Game 13466542), and my home game was 74 to 15 in my favor. All games were completed no later than 19:26 on October 22.
As far as the forfeit over Anonymus...I posted, PM'd, and sent invites to him that were originally declined. I posted, PM'd, and sent out a second set of invites that were also declined. I then received and posted the PM from Genoke stating Anonymus had not been online in over a month.
Rule #17 states, "If a challenge is declined or not answered/accepted within seven (7) days, it will be treated as though the challenger won the match and the challenged player will be charged with a “FORFEIT”."
Anonymus never informed Macbone or myself about this leave of absence. I then posted in the Forum and was answered by dhallmeyer (a respected SoC teacher) the following:
dhallmeyer wrote:celliottii wrote:As the Ladder Admin, I want to make sure I cover my bases here....I've been counting this as forfeits for other players, right? so, no one should freak out when I post this as a forfeit from Anonymus?
Correct. You should move him to vacation status or drop him completely now that you have some information.
Therefore, I recorded the forfeit, adjusted the Ladder, and challenged 9trumpet9.
Again, all this took place on October 22, with my last post being at 7:40 pm.
The Ladder, regarding challenges and match results, runs chronologically. Meaning, I record
all Ladder actions in the order they are posted.
Leehar posted his match results on October 24...with five other posts over the last two days from various players being posted.
In conclusion:
1. Even without Krag's concession of our match, the match was officially finished that same day.
2. Genoke informed me within 24 hours that Anonymus is no longer active...after I sent two PMs and two sets of game invites.
3. Leehar posted his match results against Kiwi_NZ almost 48 hours after the match against Krag had completed.
I'll have Macbone review this post, but I do not believe I did anything unethical here. If Macbone feels differently, then I will accept any "penalty" he feels warranted.
Match result and challenge recorded on the Ladder...
