Imagine all the interesting things you could do with your time if you only played a mere 50 freaking games at once!!! Wow, you all make it sound like I'm proposing 10 or something.
Here's the deal, it's a perpetuating cycle. I've been in games with those of you who join a ton but are actually good about taking your turn. It does take you a while to get to all of them regardless so every game you're in moves slower because of you. I've logged on in the morning to see it was one of the regulars turn in, not only mine, but in like 20 or more other games. So, unless I'm lucky and my game is one of the first they log into, it's gonna be at least an hour (if they can play uninterupted) until they get through to my game once they actually sign on for the day. The more people who do this, the slower every game goes, the more frustrated people become because they want to play, so they join more games, and so on.
Fortunately for me, something kicks in when I find myself just joining more and more games because I want to actually have a turn in one of them that says, "Dude, you just joined 20 games. Time to chill." Then I go outside and breathe real air and look at all the carbon based organisms that one reads about on the web.
Need I remind you there are plenty who just come to CC to play "risk" and don't bother hitting the forums. While those of us who do figure out who these jerk-offs are, plenty don't. Putting a cap somewhere at least limits the amount of games guys like this can ruin. Hell, I don't know, how 'bout 100. Is that enough for you abject addicts?

i have 27 right now and i never seem to have a go! i normally have 35 ish, maxed out probably 50. i wouldnt mind a limit of 50 games coz then it would stop me joining games just so i can have a move........most of these games i regret joining when i lose or realise i dont really like the gametype

I also hear you on winding up in games on stupid maps or with lame set-ups. That never happens unless I'm chasing the CC dragon.

also when i do get a go, it only ever seems to be in games where i have no hope of winning, it seems good games never come around
