Required reading of to-do list

Post by alex_white101 »

* Suggestion Idea: how many times have you had to tell someone who has made a suggestion, that not only is it on the to-do list, but the idea has been suggested 54000 times before? well i would like to end this.

* Specifics: i would like when people first log on to suggestions forum they should not be allowed to post until they have been through the to-do list and suggestion form. this could be enforced by having to tick a box at the bottom of the thread (much as you have to with the no multi rule). OR when a new topic is attempted to be posted a reminder of ''did you check the to-do list'' appears with the list coming up. (this could also apply to the form required in the cheating and abuse forum)

* Why it is needed: to save time for everyone!

* Priority** (1-5): 2

I can see gazilion of people saying yes I checked the to-do list when they didn't and posting anyway.

Otherwise, it's a good idea...NO.

It would waste everyone's time even more.

yeah but I stole it even before you made that thread in the RORF about it. If you click it, it brings you to the site that you can create it on and you can customize it with colors and stuff

Well, would it be possible to make a script where:
1) You click the Suggestions forum
2) The To-Do List opens as a basic list with a text box at the bottom
3) A notice pops up or rests at the top that says "Read this list and then make your suggestion if it has not already been suggested."
4) The person puts a subject and suggestion into text boxes in the format of the form
5) The text boxes are used then to create a new post in the forum, thus allowing free browsing through the forum.

It's somewhat byzantine, but seems to me that it could be possible.
