Yeah, it is a pretty horrible system. Not sure if I want to claim that it's "better than nothing" or if it is actually worse than nothing.
Hmmm.. yeah I think maybe it is better than nothing, but not by a very wide margin.
I do lean towards just slightly better than nothing, because if someone has a 4.0 rating you can pretty well guess that they're going to be rude. But other than that, there's not much information.
As bad as the rating system is, it's better than the previous one that only helped to create more conflic with all the precious things we had to say about other players.
If anyone wants a guaranteed platinum medal you had better keep giving ratings until you reach 1500. That is the "official" number and who knows when they might decide to enforce that?
but ive actually left much more than that. I leave bad ratings to let the player know I was unsatisfied with that particular game, in hopes that they will improve and see the error of their ways. Also, temporarily it allows others to see what kind of experience I had with the player. However, as time goes on, I delete the rating, as perhaps they did learn, and if they play the next one again, I give a good one as applicable. ....or repeat as necessary.
It works very well and I am sure I am making a positive impact on many lives and players experiences on CC with my system.
I'm Spanking Monkey now....err...I mean I'm a Spanking Monkey now...that shoots milk Too much. I know.
387, which is less than I've received- 469. I find that weird because I thought I pay a lot of attention to ratings, but the average CCite must make more than me.
