Depends what map u play...On some of the smaller ones a RT can be over in 4 or 5 rounds, so your talking less than half an hour, but on the classic map, or some of the bigger ones its about an hour...Ive played on the world one, and that can take ages if its a singles!!!

Preferably 1-1.5 hours but I am prepared for it to last longer. If this does happen, I often end up having to call of the Rt, temporarily at least, as, while I do spend a lot of time on CC, I am rarely online for such a sustained period of time

the biggest factor to take into consideration is the settings. Obviously esc will be quicker than flat and flat will be quicker than no cards, as a general rule.

then there is freestyle or seq. I have played rt's that last a half hour and the longest was about 6 hours.

The only RT I played was against people I know, which makes the game a lot faster as we used msn to let the people who weren't taking their turn know that it was their go.
I think there are too many factors to consider to draw a real conclusion.

I would kind of look at it this way. Playing an RT is like playing an actual game of Risk with some friends in your room. It can depend but it should usually be 1-3 hours...

6 player standard esc with all colonels, 3 hours. With captains and majors, 2 hours. With noobs, 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Usually need to get to round 7 no matter how bad the other players are.

It depends on how many players there are. With three I expect about a 1/2 hour, Bigger than that usually 45 min.
