My contribution to the flavor spec: since strike said that it comes mainly from season 1 to 4, I expect that Gus would be the main mafia head. The Salamancas/Crazy 8/etc. have a complicated relationship with that syndicate, though, so it's not clear that they'd be on the same faction as Gus. And I bet the Twins are involved somehow. I would put Saul, Mike, Jesse and Huell (possibly) on the same side. Possibly town. If not, then what kinds of characters would be town? Probably Walt Jr., Marie, Skyler, Hank, Gomez, etc. Definitely potential for many factions that need to achieve different goals. If there was stuff from S5 I might say that Walter White is a lyncher against the Nazis or something, but that seems unlikely.

My reads so far: not much. X-stor might be scum and playing on his seemingly newb level to take advantage of us. Not sure how people are generating town reads on cd; I'm a little wary of why pcm would so easily say that moving along a minor case is a town tell.

Here's my read. X-Stor-X is dominating the conversation. He has singled out IamCaffeine as his target for the day. Anybody can come up with a "case" based on nothing. This game makes it so easy to put whatever twist you want on to someone's posts. Pick a player...I could come up with a case on why they are scum. The fact that X-Stor-X has been dominating the conversation has not allowed anything else to develop, thus people are thinking, "meh, seems like an okay D1 case..." It's not really convincing, but there has been nothing else to develop.

So, there you go. I have no reads. X-Stor-X is more likely to be lynched for his over posting...not because he's scummy.

Also, I don't get all the flavor related jokes...don't shoot me for it.

I have to somehow agree on this small case. rish's reaction is somewhat strange.... you knew the inactive would either try to post or throw the towel and pass on the relay to someone more active. I'm pretty happy of the outcome; mets will be active and knows the show. Big deal, right, you pressured an inactive and he got replaced.. trying to look super nice?

I agree with Nebuchadnezer that XStor is dominating the conversation, but I disagree with Nebuchadnezer that it is a negative thing. Maybe just a little overbearing, but I can see how many would find it "off-putting"

However, after getting caught up on the 3 pages... It was basically noise to me.

I have always been on the fence about pushing for a D1 lynch on the inactives. I think it is still too early in D1 to start lynching inactives, hopefully we can get some more replacements if they do not have time for this game.

Insufficient data. Seems goodnatured, but that speaks to the poster and not of his posts. There's nothing to read but inactivity, if you choose to read that.

Town read. Definitely seems to be trying to help us make progress (see: the brief case on Rugbirn), perhaps a little offput (even suspicious) by your playstyle, which he sees as aggressive

My strongest scum read as of now is Caffeine. See above for that.

As I have already said, X-Stor-X OMGUS'd me, not vice versa.

I like the way stor is playing. Making everyone accountable for all their opinions. Hopefully he can keep track of 18 players' worth of opinions past Day 1. That is a daunting task.

But please slow down. I wanted to comment on cases/opnions but they have come and gone and have lost my timing to do so.

In a very general sense, I want to go after someone quiet.

With Stor here, the best mafia play would be to keep quiet and let him lead the way. Because using general probability, the chance of stor picking mafia on Day 1 is far less than town.

But, to get meta/WIFOM, that might be the wrong move, because everyone knows that stor is dominating the conversation, and it seems like he will eventually start yelling at the people who aren't contributing. Stor's gameplay isn't really tailored enough to discriminate between who's mafia and who is town on D1. The sheer volume of conversation to be generated means that it will not really be easier to catch scumtells.

The reason im asking these questions, this is a new place and new meta. Im not sure how day 1 is played here. If its to wait for something to "happen" idk. all i can do is play my game. I have a plan to catch scum, im looking for peoples opinions, seeing how they match up vs my own. how believable are they with their reasons etc. I want a lynch to have some tension today, i don't want the lynch to be "welp we have to decide on 1 person so lets pick x" I want discussion on such target, to the point if that person flips town, we can look at the votes, see who was really pushing. if a scum is lynched, who spear headed it? etc.

and back again iamcaffeine, i feel you are more likely to be an over defensive townie. you should stop playing in fear of because i called some of your actions scummy. no you may not care right now for what i think, but i need you to be backing up your opinions with something. I want to know the why. again, parden the excesses because "its day 1" or "lack of stuff to comment on" the latter part is more so directed to the rest of the players in the game.

QFT, i also dare say that If the first claim is a VT, its almost impossible to have enough town cred on D1 not to get lynched, no matter how believable. Its WCS/BCS thing.

More than likely to see a town lynch based on the balance of probability.

And my opinion on Caffeine, I can see how some of his posts can be scummy (I do have to disagree with the rolefishing comments though), but I think it's more I don't trust X-Stor-X rather than I'm a scummy scumster.

I've not seen the show (answered that on monday, I think). My internet did not work yesterday, so I'm speaking from work. That and I hate the beginning of D1 (glad my dislike for that has been incorporated to my meta). Also didn't read since my last post, I just searched the forums for my name and saw this post of yours.

Depending on how third parties are set, mafia could go as low as 3 and as big as 4 people, in my opinion. I'm guessing 4.

I'll look for leads when I get time (hopefully tomorrow, internet allowing me - if not, then it's Carnival time and who knows when I might be back). In case of no solid leads, I'd pressure someone who is most likely to botch a fakeclaim (new and that doesn't know the show)*. I'm not going to mention the pressure inactives way of Safari because there are 4 replacements ready to sub.

*that's a last resort thing: ideally, someone WILL f*ck up (if they haven't already) and we'll have a lead
