February 1st, 12:00pm GMT, Nathan is just awaking for his current day ahead of him. He has some errands to run in town before getting onto the plane. Contacts he must meet for the transfer of.. goods.. to Alder, Russia. Where he must pick them up. From there begins the journey of setting up the Sochi Olympics grand opening surprise.
[Please note if something "dies" in GREEN it is just a NPC emotion, which few will die off throughout the game].
Free Will is now gone from his mind, the only thing stopping him is how he feels about this act he will commit. Which side wins is anyone's guess, but if the wrong side wins the fate of thousands is sealed.

What sort of experience is in this game? I have played one game of forum mafia on Mafiascum and they were brutal. Never played it IRL, not sure how it works.

Pretty sure I'm the newbiest of noobs... this being my first game ever. I read through one completed one on CC & looked at some posts at some others but I have a lot to learn. I'm gonna try to jump in headfirst though... hopefully I don't hit the rocks below.
I think this is a good one for me to start with as I believe Billy Squier's "Get Your Emotions in Motion" tour may have been my second concert ever :

Go to mafia wiki they explain roles and some strategies.
When are wiki strategies ever useful in a jak game?
Thanks, IB. I've been on there some already. Mostly looking at more common roles & trying to learn terminology from the Glossary. Strategy not so much yet but that will be my next step... and then I'll plan to do the opposite... this being a jak game and all.
The last Stoke game i went to your players were punching each other.
TP has gone now, we now play "great" passing football, and definitely do not punch players when the ref is not looking, I'm looking at you Huth. And Walters shouldn't of got a red or Adam suspended.
War doesn't determine who's right; it determines who's left.
I don't yet have a feel for how much real analysis you can do on D1 (doesn't seem like a lot). But I was trying to guess what emotions might be in this game and this Categorization of Emotions link has a nice listing and breakout of emotions into positive/negative groups that may jive with alignments in this game. Though, there will be some guesswork to determine which role is most likely associated with a given emotion.
I would guess that there is only 1 mafia faction since it's a small game and Nathan is probably just bipolar between mafia/town... maybe there could be a third party emotion, though???
sounding a bit fishy there the way you're trying to open a lot of negative emotes
Negative and forceful
Anger
Annoyance
Contempt
Disgust
Irritation
Negative and not in control
Anxiety
Embarrassment
Fear
Helplessness
Powerlessness
Worry
Negative thoughts
Doubt
Envy
Frustration
Guilt
Shame
Negative and passive
Boredom
Despair
Disappointment
Hurt
Sadness
Thats quite a lot to suggest making a bit useless.

I would say likely either 3 mafia or 2mafia/1 third party? with 10 players I think 3 is a good number... 4 might be a little hard for town.
