And because you failed to protect CD/Superkeener, which is highly indicative of a fakeclaim. I have no reason to distrust MoB considering the way he voluntarily claimed.
Re: [Official] Breaking Bad Mafia 11/18 D3: Busy Night
I've honestly answered all your questions, so when I'm proven right, those that vote to lynch me will be fingered as scum - that's my take.
Re: [Official] Breaking Bad Mafia 11/18 D3: Busy Night
I did protect CD on N2. MoB bussed him with Super. So when someone targeted Super (for whatever reason) CD got killed. It wasn't my fault, I did everything within my power to protect CD.
Re: [Official] Breaking Bad Mafia 11/18 D3: Busy Night
Why did Superkeener die, though? Your protection ended up being aimed towards him.
Re: [Official] Breaking Bad Mafia 11/18 D3: Busy Night
Perhaps you mis-understtod my wincon. By saying "being the last one standing" to me means the same as being alive when the game is over. Look, Rodion, you can vote to lynch me all day long, but I'm just trying to point out how bad you are going to look when D4 starts.
Re: [Official] Breaking Bad Mafia 11/18 D3: Busy Night
@Rodion,
I don't have an answer for that, (why my protection would not extend to Super in a CD/Super bussing situation).
My only explaination is:
1. Either my protection doesn't extend through a bussing situation (seems wierd and suspect to me) or
2. MoB isn't telling the truth, or
3. Somehow my action was neutralized on N2

But as town, you don't have to be alive at the end to win. When town wins, everyone in town wins, not just who is alive. That would be completely unfair to townies who died n1.Rugbirn wrote:Perhaps you mis-understtod my wincon. I guess you and I see things differently TFO. If I get killed before the game ends, I really don't feel like I won anything - as you do.

Lol dude, you are like in quicksand making yourself look worse each time.Rugbirn wrote:I guess you and I see things differently TFO. If I get killed before the game ends, I really don't feel like I won anything - as you do.
If you end up town, no one will be able to blame rodion as you are answering definitively not as town. If you end up being saul and you are a third party or some sort of none mafia role, you just got yourself lynched for blatantly lying. I really suggest to be honnest next time if you are not mafia.

Hey folks...I fell asleep early yesterday so missed rugbirns claim and now am reading through it, I'm reading through it but needed to post this quick comment.
Rugbirn claimed he is Saul and prevents NKs. Perhaps down the line he claimed the name of his role? To me he is a Doc. Neb was a Doc. Two Docs??? On the same side?? Perhaps I missed it...but really?

No, he really won't. You might flip town (though I find this unlikely), but no one can be blamed at this point for being very very skeptical of your claim. In fact, this "last one standing" business is enough for me toRugbirn wrote:Perhaps you mis-understtod my wincon. So we now have an entirely new type of role to look forward to...a "lawyer". Sarcasm off.Rugbirn wrote:@ Rishead, yes my role is Saul Goodman - Lawyer. It wasn't so much "pulling teeth" to get my claim, hell the scene has only been posted 10 hours or so!! Sometimes my computer is "off" longer than that.
Like I said, I needed to get a clarification from Strike before I screwed-up something that might jeopodize the game. You all have been calling me stupid for so long I guess I am starting to believe it ! As I have never played with a poisoner, I'm not too sure about my protection's ability other than my role specifically says protection from night kills. I'm starting to believe that the poison is just flavor (or Gus' modus operendi) as some have indicated, and because XStor was not protected by me N2 (I choose CD for obvious reasons), he was killed.
If this is the case (non-poisoning but actual NK), then my FOS would be off TBO (although I still feel uneasy about him explaining his action before being asked).
@MoB, isn't it fun being on the ledge? I can believe your claim on face value except for one thing you said: "And I can increase my odds of survival by bussing myself. (WIFOM)". I do NOT believe this is TRUE, as my role specifically says that I cannot use my action on myself (i.e.protect myself from NKs) for obvious reasons. Why would Strike set-up your role differently? Doesn't jive with me.
This is first and foremost a mafia game. I am not about to play the Mod but I have enough experience to know a Doc is a Doc. Neb did not flip as an "acountant" or MoM.
I will agree that one can not use the flavor of the show to dictate who is who. I would not peg skyler as a Doc.
My vote stays. He has played stupidly through out the game and caught red handed he continues to do so.
Mob you need to claim your name. You can not just say you are Busdriver with out name claim.

I'm pretty sure he just did. I actually think that mets might be right and character names can be very missguiding, so mob doesn't want to reveal it. maybe it's better if mob doesn't say anything... but on the other hand mafia has fakeclaims so we might not catch mafia lying with 2 people claiming the same thing...yeah, perhaps you're right. If his nameclaim doesn't fit the flavour, I guess I will not take it into consideration though, if rugbirn flips scum I see no reason no to see mob as town/pro town. He planted the caff seed, then the rug seed... i followed his leads with conviction and so far so good. I don't see why he would've claimed at that timing if he wasn't speaking the truth unless it's a trick and he's about to get his win condition with rugbirn/saul dead...
and lol at rodion regarding the night before christmas mafia, good memory... that was quite a roller coaster!

See here's your problem in a nutshell. You have played this game in complete ignorance of its rule set while trying to argue your points of view as fact.Rugbirn wrote:I guess you and I see things differently TFO. You certainly do see things differently at the expense of having a coherent game strategy.

If i m not mistaken, rug is at l-1. And his destiny is pretty much sealed.
Should we ask jonty to answer about his posting restriction as suggested before?
I don t feel totally comfortable with mob holding investigative information before the night if he gets killed (mostly with 3 kills per night..). It could be useful later on.. I don t know about the night 1 busdrive, maybe he can keep that one for himself, unless it involved someone who died that night?

Rodion wrote: 3 - MoB, I remember the last time you claimed town busdriver in an Official Game! (Nightmare Before Christmas)
hahahah Ironic, right?
4 - MoB, why didn't you claim right after Rugbirn?
Because I didn't realize Superkeener would be alive if he was telling the truth. I thought he was honest about protecting CD, and was like damn I bussed him thats why it didn't work, so I initially believed him. This is an instance where I was rushing and didnt stop to think.
This is why it was important to claim, I could not flip flop AGAIN or I would just plainly look terribly scummy. At this stage of the game, I think less fog is very important.
1 and 2Rugbirn wrote:@ Rodion -
1. Obviously, from my actions I am town aligned.
1.5 My winning condition is to be the last standing (quite doubtful now)
2. My question to Strike was about what I could/could not say about my role - claim wording wise. Nothing major, but I wanted clarification so as not to get mod killed.
Rugbirn wrote: By saying "being the last one standing" to me means the same as being alive when the game is over.
The less information the mafia has on me the better. I already made the mistake of partially claiming while I did not need to. I would rather not say anything at this time.Iron Butterfly wrote: Mob you need to claim your name. You can not just say you are Busdriver with out name claim.
We have NO reason to rush, lets get everyone to chime in and talk more before the lynch.
Re: [Official] Breaking Bad Mafia 11/18 D3: Busy Night
MoB I believe your claim, and if you have any chance to survive you will need me. Should I survive, we will need each other, and you will become my best friend. But seeing as I am about to get lynched anyways, I will complete my reveal.
First off, I have not lied about anything I've said. However, I did obviously leave out some "details" and now that I am explaining them, you will know why. Second, I have only played with town's interest in mind, again you will understand why. Third, I am a newbie and have made many mistakes - oh well, I'm sure you all have too at some point.
My name is Saul Goodman, my role is Lawyer/Survivor. I am 3rd Party affiliation, and my wincon is to be alive at games end. I can select one person for night action each night, but my action is two fold. If I select a townie, the are protected from a NK. Should I select Mafia, and they are investigated, they will look innocent. So, my role is very similar to Saul's in BB.
With MoB's claim, this explains why CD was killed. I protected CD on N2 as I said (and XStor on N1 as I said), however, when MoB bused CD with Super, and Super was mafia (my protection was only for townies), my protection went away. So, with three dead last night, my theory is:
1. No poisoner, Xstor was killed by mafia in a regular NK.
2. Super was killer because MoB bussed him with the protected CD.
3. CD was killed due to a vig trying to kill Super.
My theory on the vig (who I think is Walt) is that he either:
1. He was silent N1, or
2. He acquired his power after Hank the cop was killed.
From the begining, it didn't make sense for me to align with mafia, because:
1. I couldn't day talk with them and become part of their plan.
2. I had a better feel for the town characters based on their majority in this forum and helping town just seemed like the right thing to do.
3. I know I'll probably get lynched anyway, but decided to explain all in order to help town anyway I can
Now the reality town needs to face is:
1. You have already lost your Doc.
2. Voting me out, you will lose your protector.
3. Now that MoB has claimed (town aligned) bussing action, you will most certainly lose him in tonight's action.
The only way to avoid this would be to allow MoB and I to protect each other i.e. I protect him, he busses me. Granted, I understand from town's point of view, this means that they have lost our combined powers anyway, but, we don't necessarily have to do this each night, in reality only make mafia think we are doing it each night. Also, if we are not allowed to do it, you just lost two town aligned roles. There is always safety in numbers in this game and with three mafia left, towns chances are much better with MoB and I alive.
I will answer any questions, however, I am growing weary of defending myself with so many in a lynch mentality unwilling to "listen". You must admit, I have made a much greater effort that IAC did (although he had little to defend).

Rugbirn, what COLOR is your role?
Why didn't you just claim everything from the start? If you claimed that right away I may have believed you and I would not have to claim myself.
Now we have to decide if you are just changing your role around to cover up for your lies.

Rug, if all this is true very bad play not to lay down all your cards from the start. Now it just looks made up. Put yourself in our shoes. You try to gain time, then lie then come up with something to make the story stand. You should ve said the truth from the start, if this is the truth. We can t possibly trust you now, you know how trust works. Break it once and you never get it back completely.

Yeah good question mob.

My color is a greenish, I didn't tell everything at first because at the time if I claimed non-town, I would have had no chance (i.e. 3rd party) to survive. People weren't listening to my defense, they were wagon jumping. We both did what we had to, in order to protect CD, it just worked out wrong through no fault of our own.

Can someone unvote him off L-1? let us get proper discussion.
As RIDICULOUS as his role sounds... To me it sounds remotely plausible at least. I am not sure if LAL automatically applies in this scenario. I would like to hear from everyone about this.

i must say i kind of believe the full claim he just gave us.
In my opinion its complete.
and it makes sense.
its either very well thought of as a fake claim, or very well thought of by the mod. I tend to give the mod credit for it, so I believe the claim.
I do agree that his playstyle was not helpful (or worse) at some points but i guess the story adds up.

No, I completely understand Betty. Like I said, I'm learning. I just want town to understand the ramifications - because although I have always told the truth, now I have told the complete truth, the whole truth, so help me God.
Re: [Official] Breaking Bad Mafia 11/18 D3: Busy Night
Wrong. Third parties are not town s enemies. You said you are town, then backed out. The fact of hidding something and lying is much worse than being third party.Rugbirn wrote:My color is a greenish, I didn't tell everything at first because at the time if I claimed non-town, I would have had no chance (i.e. 3rd party) to survive.
