This is the fifth tournament in my new series based on my original homeland -- Czechoslovakia -- and Oneyed's excellent map of it. Each of the 25 tournaments in this series celebrates some aspect of a different town or city on the map, and matches it to some game type or setting on CC. To avoid favouritism, I have randomized the order of the towns. For more information on this series visit the DKs CSFR Frag series Infocentre.

In this tournament, in addition to the CSFR map, we wll be using DiM's new Slovakia map:

Košice is a town in eastern Slovakia. Its tourism board calls it "the Metropolis of the East" although that may be somewhat optimistic.


In this relatively simple bracket tournament, you will play a best-of-three series every round, with one game on the CSFR map and two games on the new Slovakia map.

Participants: 32 players
Freemiums will be allowed if they can keep 3 game slots reserved for this, and will default if they fail to do so.

Procedure, Maps and Settings:
32-player single-elimination bracket.
Bracket-randomization feature on challonge.com will be used to generate the bracket.
Reserves will be used in the first round only. Thereafter failure to appear will result in a default.
Each round is a best-of-three series, with

• One game on the Czechoslovak Fragmentation map, and
• Two games on the new Slovakia map.

All games sequential, automatic, chained, 24-hour turns, 30-round limit, and No Trench.

Round 2: Foggy Flat Rate
Round 3: Sunny Nukes
Round 4: Foggy Zombie
Round 5: Sunny No Spoils
