Global Side Chat...Do you like it?

I am confused. Many of us didn't know. Some are asking how to turn it off? Others are asking why do we need it? Don't we already have a chat? Then I was wondering...how many swear words does Global Chat allow?

I noticed the word CUNT was of the censored variety, so I can just get around that by typing: C...U...N...T.

How is the moderation going to work, and will people be banned from Global Chat. If So..that sucks. Global Chat is Global! LET IT ROLL BABY!

Chat rooms allows for discussion in rooms, where as global chat will be more active and give new players easier access to a larger group of chatters & answers.
It'll make chat more lovely.

While it may not be of great use / desire to some of the existing players, it'll connect the community at a greater level and hopefully allow newer players more access to player help and info. While retaining the older chat for those who want to make private rooms and the like.

As long as I don't get babysat and bitched at for using the words "cunt" and "f*ck" or derivatives thereof. The filters are a joke, imo.

If you don't want to get in trouble for going around the filters, don't say the words pretty simple

I think it's pretty cool! I've never been one to open up live chat but it's great that you can stumble upon some live chatter, make a comment, then move on. Great addition to the site.

@ DaGip. Yeah buddy, not sure why you'd want to spell out profanities to get the point across. Kinda weird no? lol People will get what you're saying regardless. anywhoo, none of my business.

It does seem like there's more people on there today so perhaps the "off" setting by default is now turned to "on"? Especially when considering the few that where trying to turn the feature off (or hiding it).

It's very ugly.

I know it's not a problem for everyone but I just can stare too much at ugly things. This is not a joke. I get annoyed, I just gotta run if I'm watching something ugly.

IMO, as I suggested once, this chat should be tied to a channel in Live Chat, and should be used to promote Speed games. People can quickly organize a Speed game. But who am I, I made the suggestion years ago, but I was told that it's very similar, in one side and all, but it's not based on my suggestion. So either people in charge do no read suggestions or somehow decided my suggestion was not good but then came up with a very similar idea by themselves, which was good enough.

So, to improve it a little these are a couple of things that can be done:

-Get rid of the Bots, we get it, you like to be creative creating lines, but they alienate people. Sorry TeeGee
-Change the background color to white
-Names on colors to distinguish them quickly.
-Get rid of the avatars.

I opened the website after work, and there was no more Global Chat! Has it been removed? Or perhaps only removed from me using it ever, ever again? Oh, well. I think it was a nice experiment while it lasted (or maybe it's being tinkered and fine tuned?)

I think if you type the word C*NT or F*CK a few times, CC will just remove it for you.

Since this latest "upgrade" happened, I've found the site is dragging during actual games. Both at home and at work.

I am still not running the new system so I have not seen it yet.

I was just thinking that if the global chat allows you to post selfies, than maybe this is an attempt to draw more people to the site? If it does not, let's get to work on it and the decline will be over!
