This month's challenge will give the medal out in 14%*** of attempts. It's probably a bit too tough.

What level would make you most interested?

Assuming a binomial distribution with a 1/3 chance to win a 3-player game and assuming a player plays 19 games exactly.

I didn t play this month because it seemed too complicated. Win 9/19 (about 50% win expectancy) with 1/3 chances to win each game and repeated so many times. The delta between the expected win rate and the win rate needed to get the challenge is too high.

I think you need to take this into consideration. I d say next time you should win 7/18 in 3 player games to give an example.

Oh, and in you pole, you need to say out of how many players/teams otherwise it s too vague.

The numbers that Betiko suggesting looks GOOD to me.

Now they are only a little bit to hard to keep going for it Every month over and over.

A bunch of the games sometimes go over 2 Months depending the Challenge,
Then you come around 50 gameload very fast for Challenges only.

People are going to the challenge thread, that's why this poll was started. I believe DY wanted to create a separate thread for the poll and the announcements forum is hardly the ideal place for that.

You know, in the "good old days" (which were neither all that good nor really all that old ... they didn't have computers in the "old" days ... they didn't even have printing presses) if someone were to complain about the entertainment coordinator's placement of a post the mods would show them to the shed in the back and pull out the cat of nine tails. I mean if this isn't a "general" poll I don't know what is. Announcements go in announcements, that's intuitively obvious to a casual observer.

i think members of the GD care a great deal where threads are... especially when moderators are continually moving threads to appropriate forums, etc... the irony of Team CC abusing their power and placing threads where they clearly don't belong, due to higher traffic volume, can not be lost on you... it matters.... it matters a great deal.. bad enough i have spam from Team CC forced into my inbox, they don't need to also spam up the forums... i can however see how a member with less than 400 total posts could care less about the forum and where threads are... but those of us that spend a great deal of time in here and have dealt with numerous moderators and their odd interpretation of the rules, actually care. i can't go into the Foundry and post a "HAPPY BDAY" thread, but they can post AND STICKY foundry related threads in here. i can't go to the suggestions forum and post a Dice Bitch thread, but they can post AND STICKY Sugg threads in here. i can't go to the SOC forum and post a general congrats thread in there, but they can post AND STICKY a SOC thread in here... the mods abuse their power when they post/sticky topics from other threads in the GD. members have been banned for posting threads in the wrong forum, so it does matter.. we don't act like children, we act like members that don't want to see mods abuse their power and not follow the same rules that we have to follow...-Jésus noir

Perhaps there is some confusion on what exactly is meant to be posted in GD? Perhaps the definition has changed, or maybe certain individuals have never fully grasped what GD is meant for.

Owen, why don't you post your version of what should and should not be allowed in GD? I'm looking for something definitive, so a short one line answer will not suffice. I want something that can be used as a guideline. And then perhaps, we could have a global mod post their definition.

this is an announcement about a challenge that already has a post/sticky in another portion of the forum. they then posted in here for some reason.. oh, the high traffic... this is now an additional sticky for an already existing topic within another portion of the forum. it is even listed when you go to the COMMUNITY page at the very top with a link to the challenge: http://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?mode=events

so, if this is some sort of additional ANNOUNCEMENT, then place it in ANNOUNCEMENTS... please tell me that you agree with the mods posting/sticky-ing topics from other forums within the GD... the rules for posting in GD are pretty clear, they hve never changed... the mods just continually choose to ignore them...-Jésus noir

Posting the same thing over and over in the same or other forum topics.

this information is posted on the COMMUNITY page with a big ass link to the thread, which then has it's own page!! you know, the COMMUNITY tab that replaced the FORUM TAB? kind of funny that forum users bitched about the Forum tab being moved for the COMMUNITY tab... guess this team figured that by placing COMMUNITY in the place of the FORUM they would increase traffic to that area... kind of like when they moved other sub forums above the GD to increase traffic. logic being that people click on the first thing they see... this event is being advertised all over CC and has multiple direct links within the forums and it's own ANNOUNCEMENTS thread. odd that they place it in the GD, the most visited part of the forum and not in other sub forums. it is a violation of the rules. just like the last BOT thread they sticked, this should not be in here...-Jésus noir

I will have to disagree with that statement. If you had said "I think a very small percentage GD members care a great deal" then maybe we could have shared agreement. This is a game on the internet.
